While we continuously exceed our goals, we need your help – our success is only as great as our people. Strong performance leads to high expectations, and we must keep raising the bar!

We’re seeking a Sr. Director of Business Intelligence to own the BI vision and operating model across our clients and products. You’ll lead and grow a market-leading team—BI Leads, analysts, data scientists, and AI practitioners—to drive marketing measurement, insight, and optimization that fuel revenue growth and retention. You’ll build the department’s foundation by designing scalable systems, processes, and governance (intake, prioritization, QA, delivery, enablement) and raise the quality bar through standards, reviews, and coaching. You thrive in ambiguity, make pragmatic calls with imperfect data, and deliver analytics and AI capabilities unique to our company. Partnering with the EVP of Business Intelligence, VP of Clients, Business Intelligence Team Leads, and cross-functional leaders, you’ll turn complex data into clear decisions and provide trustworthy, real-time intelligence that compounds impact over time.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Own the BI strategy for a complex client portfolio and make bold, data-led decisions that drive revenue growth, strengthen retention, and maximize lifetime value in uncertain environments.
  • Partner with the VP of Clients and cross-functional leaders to frame options, evaluate trade-offs, and turn unclear signals into decisive, actionable strategies.
  • Translate incomplete or noisy data into clear, compelling insights and recommendations that executives can confidently act on.
  • Architect and manage the BI operating model from intake through delivery, creating clarity and scalability in an evolving, high-demand environment.
  • Build the BI foundation from the ground up by owning pipelines, modeling standards, semantic layers, and source-of-truth dashboards with strong governance and security.
  • Codify how the team works by creating and enforcing SOPs, data standards, and QA practices, and drive adoption through enablement and training.
  • Define and maintain KPI frameworks and leading indicators that align teams, surface risks early, and enable data-driven decisions.
  • Lead and develop BI Leads and senior ICs by setting a high bar for excellence, coaching for impact, and fostering accountability across the team.
  • Champion quality and continuous improvement by running reviews, critiques, and post-mortems, and streamlining workflows to improve speed and reliability.
  • Deliver measurable business impact by providing advanced analytics, self-serve tools, and data narratives that strengthen proposals, negotiations, and renewals.

You'll Need To Have:

  • 7–10+ years in Analytics/BI with 3–5+ years leading teams, including managing Leads and senior ICs in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Deep domain expertise in social media and digital advertising, including platform ecosystems (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, X, Snapchat), campaign analytics, and both brand and performance funnels.
  • Extensive experience with ad tech, marketing data infrastructure, and advanced measurement methodologies such as brand lift, MTA, and MMM.
  • Proven track record building BI foundations: data models, governance, documentation, SLAs, and scalable processes.
  • Strong product/consultative instincts—can frame problems, design analysis plans, and communicate trade-offs to execs and clients.
  • Demonstrated success operating in ambiguity and delivering business outcomes under tight timelines and shifting priorities.
  • Fluency with modern data stacks (e.g., SQL, dbt or equivalent modeling, cloud warehouses), BI tooling, and data visualization best practices.

Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry.
