JOB SUMMARY  

Reporting to the CIO, the Sr. Director, Finance Systems will lead the delivery, optimization, and ongoing evolution of Avid’s core finance technology ecosystem, with primary accountability for NetSuite ERP and NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB). This leader will ensure finance systems are reliable, scalable, well-controlled, and aligned with business priorities while driving continuous improvement and modernization. 

This role requires a strong combination of technical depth, financial systems expertise, operational discipline, and people leadership. The Director will manage a team of engineers and finance systems professionals, ensuring effective Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices, consistent roadmap execution, and high-quality delivery. The Director will also build strong partnerships with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders through clear communication, roadmap transparency, and reliable execution. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Strategy & Leadership 

  • Lead a team of approximately 2-3 team members consisting of FTEs and contingent workers. 

  • Contribute to and execute against a multi-year vision and roadmap for Finance Systems aligned with company strategy and priorities. 

  • Serve as a trusted partner to Finance leadership, translating financial process needs into practical, scalable technology solutions. 

  • Drive continuous improvement, simplification, and modernization across the finance application portfolio, with a focus on NetSuite and NSPB. 

Delivery & Execution 

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of enhancements across: 

  • NetSuite ERP 

  • NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB) 

  • Finance-related integrations with Salesforce, Snowflake, and other enterprise systems 

  • RevPro (Zuora) revenue recognition 

  • Concur Expense Management 

  • Establish and maintain strong SDLC practices to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery. 

  • Ensure roadmap commitments are met through effective planning, prioritization, and execution. 

  • Balance long-term strategic initiatives with the need for quick wins that deliver immediate business value to Finance and the broader organization. 

NetSuite & Finance Systems Ownership 

  • Serve as the primary technology leader for NetSuite ERP and NSPB. 

  • Ensure financial system configurations, workflows, and integrations support accurate reporting, forecasting, and financial operations. 

  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and Finance Operations to continuously optimize system usage and automation. 

  • Define and improve finance data flows between NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, and other enterprise platforms. 

  • Support system scalability as the business grows and evolves. 

Delivery & Technical Leadership 

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Finance Systems team, including engineers and functional specialists. 

  • Upskill talent where needed through role optimization, targeted training, and thoughtful hiring. 

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Establish strong partnerships with stakeholders across: 

  • Finance (Accounting, FP&A, Revenue, Finance Operations) 

  • Business Applications 

  • Data & Analytics 

  • Technology and Engineering 

  • Sales, Operations, and Product teams 

  • Maintain transparency into progress, risks, and trade-offs through clear communication and reporting. 

Operations & Governance 

  • Support system reliability, performance, and security across all finance platforms. 

  • Help define and implement effective governance models for changes, data integrity, and integrations. 

  • Ensure strong controls, auditability, and compliance within NetSuite and connected systems. 

  • Manage relationships with key vendors and third-party partners as needed. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Keys to Success 

  • Deep technical and functional expertise in NetSuite ERP and NSPB. 

  • Strong understanding of finance processes, reporting, and planning. 

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. 

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver both strategic outcomes and practical, near-term wins. 

  • Effective people leader who develops and elevates talent. 

  • Proven ability to facilitate and lead cross-functional prioritization discussions. 

  • Track record of delivering against committed roadmaps with quality and predictability. 

Required Skills 

  • 10+ years of experience working with enterprise finance systems, business applications, or similar functions. 

  • 5+ years of people management experience, including leading technical or engineering teams. 

  • Expert-level experience with NetSuite ERP and NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB). 

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce (CRM and Billing) and how it integrates with finance systems. 

  • Working knowledge of modern SDLC practices and agile delivery methodologies. 

  • Experience integrating NetSuite with Salesforce, Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse, Middleware or iPaaS tools (e.g., Workato, Mulesoft, Boomi, etc.) 

  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives or major programs of work. 

  • Experience supporting audit, SOX controls, or financial compliance initiatives. 

  • Experience in SaaS, technology, or digitally driven businesses.

Salary Ranges:

For US-based Candidates: MIN 168,320 to MAX 252,480 USD/Annual

Compensation decisions are based on factors including geographic location, experience, skills, education, and business needs.
