The RoleThe Senior Director of Marketing is a senior leader responsible for shaping and leading CCC’s integrated marketing strategy across brand, portfolio and product marketing, digital experiences, and account based growth. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, Communications and CSR, this role ensures that deep buyer, customer, and market insight drives everything we bring to market.
This leader brings strong experience in account based marketing (ABM) and sales plays, turning customer and account insight into focused, repeatable go to market motions that drive growth, expansion, and retention. In addition, this individual will lead our product marketing function and a team of PMM. The role partners closely with product and sales leadership, aligns teams around shared priorities, and ensures marketing execution is cohesive, disciplined, and customer led across the portfolio.
Chicago‑based candidates are strongly preferred.


 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set and evolve CCC’s integrated marketing strategy across portfolio and product marketing, brand, digital, and account‑based motions.
  • Define and lead CCC’s ABM and sales play approach, closely aligned with sales and revenue operations.
  • Translate business priorities into clear marketing focus areas, operating rhythms, and playbooks.
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to executive leadership, product, and sales.
  • Build, develop, and retain a high‑performing, insight‑driven marketing team.
  • Lead portfolio marketing with a deep focus on buyer needs, customer behavior, and market trends.
  • Develop clear, differentiated value propositions and messaging across the buyer, user, and retention journey.
  • Lead go‑to‑market marketing strategy for new products and solutions, ensuring strong positioning and field readiness.
  • Drive cross‑sell, expansion, and portfolio adoption across existing customers.
  • Design, launch, and scale sales plays aligned to customer needs, lifecycle moments, and growth opportunities.
  • Turn buyer, account, and usage insights into focused, repeatable sales motions with clear messaging and activation plans.
  • Partner closely with sales enablement and GTM teams to align messaging, launch plans, and execution.


 

Requirements:
  • 15 years+ experience in marketing, with dedicated experience in account-based and product marketing
  • Experience in B2B enterprise, AI, SaaS, insurtech or automotive technology a plus.
  • Proven leadership in account‑based marketing and sales play design in a multi‑product environment.
  • Key experiences and skills required:
    • Experience building account-based marketing strategies and plance that include repeatable, customizable sales plays
    • Development and ownership of product positioning, messaging, personas and value propositions
    • Experience leading a marketing team
    • Go‑to‑market and growth strategy development and implementation
  • Strong understanding of sales enablement and how marketing fuels revenue.
  • Experience building and leading high‑performing marketing teams.
  • Ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution.
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership, influence, and executive communication skills.
