The Opportunity

This role provides high-level strategic and operational support to the executive leader, driving alignment across key initiatives and enabling the organization to achieve its business goals efficiently. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, project manager, and cross-functional connector—helping translate strategy into action, streamline operations, and enhance organizational effectiveness.

This role combines strategic planning, operational execution, and leadership support responsibilities, freeing executive bandwidth to focus on high-impact priorities.

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Planning

  • Partner with the Sr. VP of Worldwide Sales to develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with business and company objectives.
  • Drive goal-setting processes, with a specific focus on departmental goals, divisional (DW) goals, and revenue targets.

Project Management

  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional projects from concept through execution, ensuring milestones and outcomes are achieved.
  • Focus on strategic growth initiatives such as New Product Introductions (NPI) and Total Addressable Market (TAM) expansion.

Operational Oversight & Team Development

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and optimize workflows to improve performance.
  • Monitor and enhance Sales and FAE (Field Application Engineer) utilization and ensure alignment to customer and Product Line (PL) strategies.
  • Support organizational scaling efforts, including defining business development roles, FAE role structures, and future team expansion.
  • Partner with leadership to position the Sales organization as a proactive, strategic growth driver.

Budget Management

  • Collaborate with finance to develop and manage budgets, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and revenue targets.
  • Track and report financial performance to ensure alignment with business goals.

Executive Support Meeting Preparation

  • Prepare executives for key meetings by providing analysis, briefing materials, and ensuring follow-up on action items.
  • Manage weekly huddle reports—filtering, sanitizing, and reviewing with the executive prior to executive leadership meetings.

Liaison and Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between the executive team, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment and coordination across product line presidents, Chiefs of Staff, and General Managers (GMs).

Strategic Counsel

  • Act as a thought partner and trusted advisor, supporting data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.

Team Cohesion

  • Promote collaboration, build trust, and help resolve conflicts across leadership teams to ensure strong alignment and execution.

Staffing and HR Collaboration

  • Partner with Human Resources on staffing plans, talent acquisition, and employment policies.
  • Support new hire onboarding and ensure resource alignment to strategic priorities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 15+ years of experience in strategic operations, business management, or Chief of Staff capacity.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with experience driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of optical communications, data center interconnect, coherent optics, and cloud networking.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across executive and functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.

Pay Range:

P95-USA-1 :$187,450.00 - $267,750.00
