Who We Are

FTI Consulting is the leading global expert firm for organizations facing crisis and transformation. We work with many of the world’s top multinational corporations, law firms, banks and private equity firms on their most important issues to deliver impact that makes a difference. From resolving disputes, navigating crises, managing risk and optimizing performance, our teams respond rapidly to dynamic and complex situations.
At FTI Consulting, you’ll work side-by side with leaders who have shaped history, helping solve the biggest challenges making headlines today. From day one, you’ll be an integral part of a focused team where you can make a real impact. You’ll be surrounded by an open, collaborative culture that embraces diversity, recognition, professional development and, most importantly, you.
Are you ready to make your impact?

About The Role

FTI is building a data and intelligence ecosystem that will become the connective layer across FTI Technology's entire product suite. Corporate clients in regulated industries will ask hard questions before they commit: how are the AI models documented, how is their data handled, and what is the chain of custody. This role exists to make those questions answerable, and to build the documentation program that enables the rest of the Technology segment to operate at that standard. This is not a generalist writing role. It is a quantitative role whose primary output is documentation.

What You’ll Do

You will own the documentation infrastructure for FTI Technology's data and intelligence platform. That means the data dictionary, architecture documentation, API specifications, and integration guides. It also means producing model documentation packages for the platform's AI and ML capabilities: training data provenance, assumption disclosures, validation methodology, version history, and performance monitoring

The API specifications and data dictionary are not reference materials. They are the contracts that allow IQ.AI, FTI Connect, Reveal, and Relativity to integrate with the platform without repeated engineering calls. Without them, every integration becomes a coordination bottleneck. This person removes that constraint.

You will work across engineering, data, security, and operations teams, and with adjacent product teams including IQ.AI, FTI Connect, and TechOps, to extract technical knowledge and convert it into usable artifacts. You will communicate equally well with engineers and senior leadership.

As the program matures, you will establish the documentation standards, tooling, and processes that other FTI Technology teams adopt. This platform is the first; this role shapes what comes after.

How You’ll Grow

We are committed to investing and supporting you in your professional development and we have developed a range of programs focused on fostering leadership, growth and development opportunities. We aim to promote continuous learning and individual skills development through on-the-job learning, self-guided professional development courses and certifications. You’ll be assigned a dedicated coach to mentor, guide and support you through regular coaching sessions and serve as an advocate for your professional growth.

As you progress through your career at FTI Consulting, we offer tailored programs for critical professional milestones to ensure you are prepared and empowered to take on your next role.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years producing technical documentation for data platforms, AI systems, or quantitative models in a professional environment.

  • A quantitative background (statistics, mathematics, econometrics, or equivalent).

  • This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding how models work well enough to identify where assumptions introduce risk and document those risks precisely.

  • Ability to write an API reference that a developer can actually use.

  • Ability to set a documentation bar and hold it.

  • Experience in financial services, legal technology, or any regulated industry.

  • Familiarity with model risk management standards is highly valued.
