Job Description

Reporting to the Director of FP&A, Supply Chain, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting  financial planning, decision support, and reporting for the end-to-end supply chain activities, including product costing, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. This role will support monthly/quarterly FP&A processes, along with the annual budgeting and long-term planning processes. The senior financial analysis will work across the business to report on and monitor trends/KPI’s in performance to inform business decisions, establish budget vs. actual reporting, and support the updating of financial models to support forecast/close reviews. This position requires a detailed focused and organized individual, with an ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate will have strong work ethic, good communication skills with an ability to work well with others but also independently.    

What you'll get to do:

  • Manage and report financial plans and forecasts. Provide visibility to actual results versus budget, forecast and prior year.   
  • Support the existing forecast and budget process, including managing key dates and deliverables, establishing regular review meetings to communicate monthly results and determine impacts where relevant to the rolling forecast.  Partner with the business owners to develop detailed forecasts and analytics to enhance forecast accuracy. 
  • Collaborate effectively with accounting teams to ensure accuracy and alignment on cost accounting processes related to COGS, warehousing, logistics, and inventory.  Identify any necessary accruals or other adjustments to the financial statements. 
  • Support system implementations/enhancements (e.g. ERP, EPM tool).  Drive the development and implementation of financial tools, models, and dashboards, enhancing efficiency and data accuracy. 
  • Partner with the Data & Analytics team to develop KPI-based dashboards and expand financial reporting, leveraging existing technologies to automate financial reporting.   

Distribution and Logistics 

  • Partner with Distribution and Logistics leadership to establish and understand operational KPI’s and their financial implications.   
  • Analyze warehousing, labor, packaging, and carrier expenses to support driver-based forecasting and identification of operational efficiencies. 
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate cost drivers, operational KPI’s, and scenario-based planning (DC performance and expansion, carrier rates, etc.) 

Costing 

  • Build and enhance financial models to support gross margin forecasting, tracking, and reporting for both in and future seasons. 
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Planning to forecast inventory and COGS; support detailed gross margin analysis.  Improve visibility to product profitability and key drivers of margin variances and dilution, using information to improve profitability and improve forecast accuracy. 
  • Analyze cost drivers, production expenses, freight, and tariffs to ensure accurate cost calculations. 
  • Conduct variance analyses/bridges on gross margin variances (COGS, purchase price variance, inventory adjustments, shrink, etc.) 

Qualifications

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree from an accredited university in accounting or finance. 
  • Certified Public Accountant or MBA preferred. 
  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in consumer goods or another inventory-related field. 
  • Strong analytical skills – Advanced analysis and excel skills, and familiarity using and extracting data from various systems. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking with a natural curiosity to find the answer.   
  • Familiarity with BI tools a plus (Power BI, Microstrategy). 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.  
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized, with an ability to maintain multiple versions of forecasts.   
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills are important, due to the need to work cross functionally in a fast-growing company. 
  • Flexible team player that enjoys hands on responsibilities, with an ability to be proactive and self-starter. Ability to work independently and effectively research and solve problems. 
  • Apparel industry and experience with Microsoft d365, EPM tool set, Shopify a plus.

The salary range for this role is $93,000 - $125,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
