Job Summary

The Senior HR Business Partner partners with Commercial leadership to translate business strategy into people priorities that drive performance, growth, and organizational effectiveness. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing strategic guidance and hands-on support across talent, organization, and culture.

This individual brings strong business acumen and a deep understanding of high-performance, quota-driven environments, enabling them to proactively diagnose challenges, influence decisions, and implement scalable solutions. The role plays a critical part in advancing Masimo’s People Strategy, strengthening leadership capability, and driving engagement, retention, and performance across the Commercial organization.

This position is an onsite position at our office in Irvine, CA. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Commercial leadership, aligning people strategies to business priorities and driving organizational effectiveness 
  • Partner with leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and capability building to support growth and scalability 
  • Lead talent management efforts, including succession planning, performance management, and development planning for critical roles 
  • Coach and develop leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness, decision-making, and team performance 
  • Diagnose organizational challenges using data and business insights; recommend and implement solutions to improve performance, retention, and engagement 
  • Partner with Compensation and business leadership on job leveling, pay decisions, and sales incentive alignment to support performance outcomes 
  • Support and influence change initiatives, ensuring effective adoption across a geographically dispersed, field-based workforce 
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, balancing risk with practical, business-focused solutions 
  • Analyze people and business data to generate insights and inform leadership decision-making 
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated, scalable solutions across talent, total rewards, and employee experience 
  • Strengthen a high-performance, values-driven culture aligned to Masimo’s priorities 
  • Ensure consistent application and interpretation of HR policies, practices, and employment laws 
  • Lead or contribute to enterprise and function-specific HR initiatives and projects

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partnering with senior leaders 

  • Experience supporting Commercial, Sales, Marketing, or similar client groups in a high-performance environment 

  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into people priorities 

  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and drive organizational change 

  • Experience in talent management, organizational design, and leadership development 

  • Strong employee relations expertise with sound judgment and risk assessment capability 

  • Proven ability to leverage data and insights to influence decisions 

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills 

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, or technology industries 

  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed or field-based workforces 

  • Familiarity with sales compensation and incentive structures 

  • Experience with HRIS platforms and people analytics tools (e.g., Workday) 

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required

Language requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to draft clear business correspondence, policies, and employee communications.
• Ability to facilitate professional conversations with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners.

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 15% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment and requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of a computer and other digital devices is required. This role may require standing for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking through facilities.
