Engine is the AI-native platform for intelligent travel. For a decade, Engine has built the proprietary technology and supply behind modern business travel, serving over 40,000 customers and nearly 2 million travelers, along with leading travel and AI companies that build on Engine's infrastructure. One system powers business travel, group travel, human agents, and AI agents.
That work has earned recognition as one of Fast Company's Best Workplaces for Innovators (2025), TravelTech's Reservation Platform of the Year (2026), and one of Built In's Best Places to Work (2020–2026).
We're looking for bold, ambitious people to help redefine how businesses manage and experience travel. Working here, you can expect exponential growth, an ambitious pace, full ownership, and high-caliber colleagues who push you to do the best work of your career. Every hire raises the bar.
Come outpace the ordinary and build the future of travel with us.
Join Our Journey at Engine
At Engine, we’re revolutionizing work travel. Our modern travel platform isn’t just about booking trips; it’s about transforming how businesses and their teams experience travel. From seamless booking with top airlines, hotels, and car rental providers to single-invoice billing and flexible trip modifications, we make travel easier to manage and better to experience.
Engine is bringing its platform to the corporate-travel channel: travel management companies (TMCs) sign on, bring their corporate accounts, and book flights, hotels, and cars on Engine, direct bill, and Flex built in. Every TMC we sign, and every corporate account behind it, has to be configured, trained, and taken through its first booking before any of that value shows up. That work is this job.
Your Mission:
As Senior Lead OBT Implementation Manager, you'll own the path from signed agreement to live, booking TMC. You'll stand each agency up on Engine (GDS credentials, agency profile, queues, agent access), configure their corporate accounts (travelers, departments, travel policies, direct bill, Flex, custom fields, rewards), train their agents, and hold the timeline across several activations at once. You'll be our first dedicated implementer, which means you define how Engine implements TMCs: you build the playbook while you run it, set the standard for the implementers who follow you, and make sure the twentieth TMC goes live in a fraction of the time the second one did.
What You’ll Do:- Lead TMC implementations end to end: kickoff, discovery and scoping, project plan, risk log, go-live, and 30-day stabilization. Run several launches in parallel.
- Configure the platform for each TMC and its corporate clients: travel policy, approval flows, traveler profiles, display and content rules, Engine-only rates alongside TMC-negotiated rate programs, and chain rate-access approvals.
- Own GDS readiness across Sabre, Travelport, and Amadeus: pseudo-city and agency setup, PNR structure, queue placement, profile sync, ticketing and mid-office handoff.
- Scope and deliver integrations: SSO, HRIS profile feeds, expense systems, duty of care, reporting and BI, commission tracking.
- Run UAT with TMC agents and corporate admins; triage defects with Product and Engineering; make the go/no-go call.
- Build the implementation playbook: standard timelines, configuration templates, UAT scripts, and migration runbooks for corporates moving from legacy OBTs or from Engine.com self-serve onto Engine OBT+.
- Train agents, admins, and travel managers; produce written and video collateral they can reuse.
- Feed the roadmap: document TMC requirements and gaps, and carry the implementation lens into product reviews.
- Support Sales on pre-sale technical discovery, RFPs, and implementation scoping for enterprise TMCs.
- 7+ years in implementation, onboarding, or customer success, including time at a TMC or a travel technology company, and at least one role where you built the process rather than ran someone else's.
- Hands-on GDS experience in at least one of Sabre, Travelport, or Amadeus. Multi-GDS is a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience administering or supporting an online booking tool (Concur, Deem, Spotnana, or similar): profiles, policies, approvals, payment and billing setup.
- Strong written communication: you can turn a setup call into a reusable guide and a customer problem into a clear brief for Product.
- You've managed or mentored other implementers, or built an implementation function from the first hire.
- Comfort using AI tools to document, diagnose, and scale implementation content without sacrificing accuracy or depth.
Bonus points
- You've worked inside a TMC and know the account-manager and agent workflows from the inside.
- Experience with direct bill, central billing, or corporate card setup in a travel program.
- Background in meetings and events or group travel.
