This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior professional with deep experience building financial technology software supporting derivatives. In close collaboration with Sales, Product, Operations, and Services teams, you will strategically define and lead the high level roadmap for Clearwater's Derivatives product including taking ownership of the market readiness for derivative valuation, hedge accounting, collateral management and other full lifecycle product development. This role is also expected to assist with supporting the development of Clearwater's CECL (Current Expected Credit Loss) product.

As the Senior Product Leader for these asset classes, you will articulate the overall vision for derivatives, define and document requirements, create JIRA stories, and work closely with development teams to implement solutions. You will own the full product lifecycle — from market problem definition to user personas, workflow documentation, and business requirements for key functional groups — while also contributing your credit and valuation expertise to CECL product initiatives and mentoring junior product team members.

Responsibilities:

Market Management & Strategy
• Own a deep understanding of the competitive landscape across the derivatives market (IR, FX, credit, and equity derivatives)
• Work with internal and external influencers to develop scalable, repeatable
solutions for derivatives clients primarily in the insurance and banking industries
• Partner with Sales leadership to identify and prioritize high-value market
opportunities across both asset classes
• Serve as the organization's senior subject matter expert on industry changes (e.g., LP/GP reporting standards, ILPA guidelines, derivatives regulatory shifts such as Dodd-Frank/EMIR, and CECL-related accounting standards) and represent Clearwater externally at that level

Product Development & Requirements
• Collaborate with Solutions and Product teams to understand client workflows, pain points, and how Clearwater's platform can enhance operations across derivatives
• Lead product strategy for the Derivatives product line, including valuation,
sensitivity analysis, collateral/margin workflows, and derivatives accounting and reporting requirements
• Support CECL product development by contributing expertise on credit risk
modeling, expected loss methodologies, and how derivatives/alternative asset
exposures factor into credit loss estimation
• Develop detailed business requirements and manage JIRA stories throughout the development lifecycle for both product areas
• Partner with development teams on feature design, ensuring engineers understand the business value behind each deliverable
• Define product capabilities necessary to capture high-priority opportunities in
derivatives, and CECL, translating them into development-ready products

Stakeholder Communication & Roadmap
• Own and communicate the private funds and derivatives product roadmaps to internal and external stakeholders on a regular cadence
• Provide regular updates and cross-functional input on CECL product progress and priorities
• Lead conversations with senior internal stakeholders on use cases, client needs, and future product direction
• Work with Sales, Operations, and Client Services to prioritize development projects, balancing new market growth with profitability and client experience
• Define the private funds and derivatives offering strategy and partner with

Marketing on collateral and positioning

Client Success & Enablement
• Put client success at the center of every product decision, ensuring new features solve real operational challenges faced by insurance companies and banks. that use derivatives for risk management purposes
• Measure success of new feature releases through adoption metrics and client feedback loops
• Lead training for internal users and clients on, derivatives, and CECL-related
functionality
• Maintain recognized, senior-level expertise in derivatives products across the
organization

Requirements:

• 9+ years of experience in solutions or product leadership roles in financial services or financial technology, with a clear focus on derivatives (IR/FX/credit derivatives)
• Proven track record of building and delivering product solutions for complex end to end derivatives workflows (valuation, collateral, margin, hedge accounting)
• Working knowledge of CECL methodology and credit loss estimation, or strong ability to quickly develop this expertise and apply it to product requirements
• Deep knowledge of industry challenges such as regional regulations (e.g., ILPA, NAIC, BMA, Solvency, Dodd-Frank/EMIR) derivatives counterparty workflows
• Demonstrated success putting client success at the heart of product decisions, with examples of translating institutional investor, fund manager, or trading desk needs into product requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey
complex fund and derivatives mechanics to both technical and non-technical
audiences at a senior/executive level
• Strong ability to synthesize and communicate results of data analysis
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with experience managing cross functional stakeholder relationships across Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Client Services
• Experience mentoring or managing team members is preferred.
