About the Role

Nuro is looking for an experienced business development leader who will source, evaluate, and close business opportunities while developing relationships with key partners who are excited to leverage Nuro’s autonomy capabilities.

Reporting to Nuro’s President and co-founder, this role will work cross-functionally across engineering, product, strategy, finance, and operations teams to execute our go-to-market strategy while maintaining a deep understanding of Nuro’s products and capabilities.

About the Work
  • Evaluate and develop high-ROI strategic partnerships using rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Deliver compelling presentations and lead technical demonstrations of our autonomous solutions to potential new partners and customers
  • Lead deal sourcing, negotiations, and execution
  • Lead strategic and complex negotiations to completion, engaging cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment across teams on deal terms
  • Work extensively with internal engineering and product teams to align product roadmap and strategy with customer needs
  • Assess market trends, competitor activity, and customer behaviors to shape commercial strategies.
About You
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, partner management, or similar roles at a technology company
  • Demonstrated history of creatively structuring and closing bespoke agreements
  • Ability to negotiate and execute short and long-term deals and enterprise partnerships
  • Proven track record of driving high-value partnerships
  • Deep knowledge of business, strategy, product, finance, and legal concepts to inform complex, multi-faceted deals
  • Strong program management skills and a proven ability to partner closely with engineering to align on priorities, deliverables, and technical solutions.
  • Experience collaborating closely with internal and external engineering teams
  • Analytical mindset and track record of using data to inform strategy
  • Default to using data to make decisions
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with high ambiguity and competing priorities

  • Hands-on experience with autonomous vehicle hardware/software stack
  • Start-up experience

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $167,200 and $250,800 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
