POSITION SUMMARY:

Rigel Pharmaceuticals is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Reporting & Analytics to join the Commercial Analytics team within Business Operations. This role is responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining home office and field-facing reporting dashboards and analytical tools that support Rigel’s commercial organization.

The Senior Manager will work closely with Commercial Leadership, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality reporting, actionable insights, and scalable data solutions. This is a critical role with direct impact on Rigel’s commercial success and offers significant opportunity for growth as the company continues its expansion.

Salary Range:

National $155,000 to $185,000

Premium (NY/CA) $170,000 to $205,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting and Business Intelligence

  • Lead the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of reporting and BI solutions for home office and field teams. Ensure timely, accurate, and actionable insights are delivered to the stakeholder groups.
  • Oversee the building and deployment of the dashboards in partnership with reporting vendor.
  • Update and maintain reports and dashboards, supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to senior management.
  • Own the end-to-end BI development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and user enablement.
  • Develop compelling visualizations, dashboards, and reports to clearly and effectively communicate insights. Leverage business intelligence tools to build scalable dashboards and reports.
  • Build ad-hoc/self-serve dashboards and reports, and visualizations as required.
  • Ensure adherence to data dissemination policies, governance standards, and reporting guidelines.
  • Implement and maintain data quality checks (QA/QC) to ensure accuracy and consistency across reporting outputs.
  • Lead cross-functional reporting initiatives, ensuring timely execution, clear ownership, and alignment of resources.
  • Ensure reporting solutions are scalable, intuitive, and aligned with evolving business needs.

Analytics & Insights Delivery

  • Provide structured and ad-hoc analysis to generate business insights, and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Synthesize complex data into clear, concise narratives and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Deliver insights on an ongoing basis and present findings to senior leadership during Monthly Business Reviews, QBRs, annual meetings, and other leadership forums.
  • Partner with commercial stakeholders to frame business questions and translate them into analytical approaches.
  • Act with speed, agility, and accountability while adapting to changing business priorities and commercial requirements.

Cross Functional Collaboration & Vendor Coordination

  • Lead cross-functional reporting and analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Partner closely with the Commercial Analytics team to translate strategic initiatives into actionable dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Partner with Business Operations, Data Management, IT, and Analytics partners to ensure seamless data integration and reporting reliability. Partner with training teams to support enablement and adoption of BI tools and reporting solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted analytics partner to Sales, Marketing, and Market Access teams.
  • Partner with the reporting vendor on report development, implementation and continuous improvement.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Commercial Analytics and broader business objectives.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in consulting, commercial analytics, and/or sales operations within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industries.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Commercial Analytics, field reporting, and report development, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong technical proficiency with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel (advanced formulas, VBA) for data analysis.
  • Possess in-depth understanding of commercial data, including SP/SD data, claims, prescriber and non-prescriber data, affiliations, sales operations data and systems (SFDC, Veeva, other CRM systems)
  • Working proficiency in Python and/or R for analytics and data manipulation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for executive-ready deliverables.
