Position Summary: 

The Sr. Manager, E-Commerce Sales Strategy & Operations will be a pivotal role to grow Samyang America’s online sales at traditional and pure play retailers. The role will lead end-to-end operations and growth strategies across multiple marketplaces. This role is responsible for setting customer-level growth strategies including portfolio and pricing; advertising and promotion and requires understanding how to translate market insights into actionable results. This role will oversee sales forecasting and inventory tracking as well as competitive and marketplace tracking and performance. The ideal candidate has proven experience scaling e-commerce businesses; a deep understanding of Amazon Seller and Vendor Central, TikTok Seller Center, and retail media at traditional retailers such as Walmart, Target and Kroger.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end e-commerce / shopper marketing operations across multiple marketplaces such as Amazon, TikTok shop, Walmart, Kroger, and Target.

  • Identify opportunities to grow sales with eCommerce-optimized items, including unique pack configurations and bundles. Work with cross-functional partners to build business case and support development and execution.

  • Analyze eComm portfolio for opportunities to optimize costs, improve customer and consumer experience, taking ratings & reviews and Amazon and Tik Tok metrics into account

  • Marketplace Management: Oversee and optimize our presence on Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com InstaCart ensuring best in-class content, promotions, and advertising effectiveness.

  • Inventory & Forecasting: Rigorous analysis of demand patterns to accurately forecast sales. Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure inventory availability for all e-commerce platforms.

  • Competitive & Market Analysis: Stay ahead of e-commerce trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Manage an annual calendar for product listings, pricing, promotions, and assortment strategy to maximize sales and profitability.

  • Monitor, analyze and report platform KPIs (sales, traffic, conversion, CTR, ROAS, etc.) to inform strategy adjustments and performance optimization.

  • Team and agency leadership: Lead an associate and agency partners

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in e-commerce, performance marketing, and integrated marketing within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.

  • 2+ years of experience in shopper marketing and retail media.

  • Proven expertise managing and growing e-commerce businesses across Amazon, Instacart, Walmart, and other major online marketplaces.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing external agency partners.

  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams.

  • Proficiency with e-commerce and retail media platforms, including Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Vendor Central, Walmart Connect, Kroger Precision Marketing, TikTok Seller Center, and Criteo.

  • Experience using retail and e-commerce analytics tools such as NielsenIQ, Circana, Stackline, Helium 10, or similar platforms.

  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and experience using data visualization tools to drive business decisions.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting recommendations and business results to senior leadership.


The base salary for this position is between $125,000.00 and $145,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including an annual incentive bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, PTO/FTO, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
