The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services team:

What You Will Do

Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement payroll transformation strategies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Lead and execute projects related to payroll system implementations and enhancements.

Project Management

  • Oversee all phases of payroll system implementations, including planning, execution, testing, and go-live support.
  • Establish project timelines, allocate resources, and ensure adherence to budgets.

Process Development

  • Analyze current payroll processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Provide GAP Analysis to share with stakeholder teams:
  • Create business requirement documents, use cases, and process maps.
  • Champion automation initiatives to streamline payroll operations.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with HR, IT, finance, policy and other departments to ensure alignment of project goals and outcomes.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders/ leadership teams, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Identify risks associated with payroll operations and develop mitigation strategies.

Testing & Training

  • Lead the testing and validation of proposed solutions and ensure that they meet business requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on new payroll systems and processes.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in payroll management, implementations with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • 5+ years of experience leading end-to-end payroll system implementations and payroll process transformation initiatives within aerospace and defense organizations, including full lifecycle delivery (requirements, configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization).
  • 7+ years of experience managing payroll operations in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including administration of multi-union collective bargaining agreements, ensuring high-volume payroll accuracy and audit readiness in regulated environments.
  • 5+ years of project management experience overseeing multiple concurrent payroll or HRIS initiatives in complex, regulated organizations, partnering cross-functionally with HR, Finance, IT, and Labor Relations, and delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and best practices.

  • Ability to understand business processes, identify, and mitigate risk.

Location: This position is remote. However, the successful candidate must live within CONUS.

Remote: This position is currently designated as remote. Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). The employee may be expected to travel to RTX sites as needed.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
