Job Description

The Sr. Manager, Research & Insights will be a voice for consumer, merchant, and competitor insights across the organization. You will work with and influence internal stakeholders to adopt learnings to help drive product, marketing, sales enablement, and other strategic initiatives. You will also identify and assess new business opportunities while providing business partners with an ongoing assessment of the market and industry trends. This role reports directly to the VP, Research & Insights.


How you’ll make an impact:

  • Conduct and/or oversee research projects using a wide variety of research methods, influencing product development, user experience improvements, go-to-market strategies, and future innovation and growth.

  • While hands-on experience is required, you may also work with key vendors/agencies to conduct some research projects.

  • Navigate ambiguity to understand the market landscape and consumer and merchant needs.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all relevant stakeholders, including team members, internal customers (Product Management, User Experience, Marketing, Sales, Customer Care), and vendors/agencies.

  • Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings to stakeholders.

  • Stay abreast of new approaches and methodologies in the research industry.


What you’ll need to succeed:

  • 7+ years of work of hands-on work experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative market research.

  • Solid FinTech or Financial Services industry experience is required.

  • Strong experience using survey tools (SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, etc.) to build and deploy complex surveys

  • Experience leading large, in-depth research using a wide range of quantitative and/or qualitative techniques to identify key findings and trends.

  • Ability to translate intricate data into actionable insights and recommendations informing product and business evolution.

  • A self-motivated, independent thinker with the ability to influence company leadership and directives as well as lead and present projects to a C-suite audience.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and lead complex projects.

  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.


What would make you stand out:

  • Experience with many types of research studies (CX/VOC, brand studies, ad testing, concept testing, journey mapping, positioning/value prop development, competitor benchmarking, etc.)

  • Both B2C and B2B research experience

  • Experience using AI to drive research

  • Experience using research to help drive thought leadership and content strategy

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

  • Experience with review sites (Trustpilot, Google, App Store, etc.) and/or social listening tools

  • Residing in USA either MT or ET zones.
