The Opportunity:

Generous Brands is seeking a Sr. Manager, Revenue Growth Management (RGM) to build and scale revenue management capabilities that accelerate profitable growth. This leader will set the “rules of the road” for pricing, promotion, trade investment effectiveness, and price-pack architecture, partnering closely with Sales, Category Management, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.

This role is ideal for a strategic, analytical operator who can translate data into clear guardrails and choices, influence cross-functional decisions, and create repeatable RGM routines.

What You’ll Do:

RGM Strategy (Pricing, Promotion, Mix)

  • Develop and lead RGM strategy across pricing, promo, mix, and revenue optimization grounded in category, shopper, and competitive insights.
  • Establish commercial guardrails (price corridors/price ladders, promo depth & frequency, pack architecture roles) and ensure adoption in go-to-market execution.
  • Evaluate pricing actions, pack changes, and promo strategies using strong financial and consumer-based analytics.

Price-Pack Architecture (PPA) & Portfolio Optimization

  • Own PPA frameworks: price ladders by channel, pack roles, elasticity-informed recommendations, and innovation sizing.
  • Partner with Brand/Innovation and Category to support portfolio decisions (net revenue impact, margin, velocity, incrementality, cannibalization).

Trade Investment Effectiveness

  • Define trade investment strategy and governance: spend guardrails, ROI expectations, and routines for reinvest vs. pullback.
  • Lead pre- and post-event analysis (incrementality, halo/cannibalization, profitability), translating results into actionable recommendations.

Customer & Channel Strategy Support

  • Support customer/channel plans with RGM lenses: assortment strategy, promo calendars, pricing compliance, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Collaborate with Sales to improve negotiation readiness through fact-based insights (not “selling,” but arming teams with the best economics and guardrails).

Analytics, Tools & Ways of Working

  • Build scalable RGM tools and routines: scorecards, templates, playbooks, and decision forums.
  • Partner with Finance/Analytics/IT to improve data quality and automation; align internal shipment data with syndicated/market signals where relevant

Core Skills & Behaviors

  • Structured problem solver; comfortable with ambiguity
  • Strong business judgement and bias for action
  • Clear executive communicator; can simplify complex analytics
  • Collaborative leader who can drive change through influence
  • High standards for rigor, consistency and repeatability

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in RGM / Revenue Management / Commercial Strategy / Category Management / Trade Strategy within CPG (beverage preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in pricing, promotion, trade investment effectiveness, and/or price-pack architecture.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy (incrementality, elasticity, mix, margin, ROI).
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional leaders and drive adoption of new ways of working.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA / CPA / CMA or advanced technical degree
  • Experience with syndicated and/or commercial performance data (IRI/Nielsen, shipment/scan alignment and TPM tools)
  • Familiarity with RGM toolkits and measurement approaches
  • Experience in influencing and developing a new function in a CPG company

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
