Focus: Retail Media Network (RMN) Partnerships and Development

As Big Happy enters its next phase of hyper-growth, we are adding a dynamic, execution-focused leader to scale our Retail Media Network (RMN) Partnerships division. Reporting directly to the VP of Strategic Partnerships, this critical role is the daily engine and "connective tissue" of our RMN strategy.

You will be responsible for supporting the commercialization of Big Happy’s offsite retail media offering, specifically positioning our high-impact 3D DOOH and programmatic mobile capabilities as a seamless extension of RMNs' owned-and-operated (O&O) channels. This is a builder role designed for a high-performing individual contributor who deeply understands how RMNs operate, how they monetize offsite inventory, and how to turn Big Happy into an execution partner for top RMNs, shopper marketing agencies, and brand shopper teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • RMN Partner Enablement & Execution: Act as the strategic partner to the VP, operationalizing the RMN go-to-market framework and managing day-to-day initiatives to activate preferred partner status.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate, maintain, and deepen daily relationships with monetization leads, commercial partnership teams, and product managers within RMNs, as well as shopper marketing agency leads.
  • Offsite Co-Selling & Strategy: Partner closely with internal Sales and RMN co-selling teams to align Big Happy's high-impact programmatic offerings with retail supplier briefs (e.g., geofenced in-store DOOH campaigns and shopper mobile activations).
  • Cross-Functional Product Alignment: Partner closely with internal Sales, Product, Marketing, and Client Services teams to align RMN data feedback (e.g., sharing back Device IDs or integrating with clean rooms) with our technical product roadmap—driving results through influence rather than direct authority.
  • Collateral & Toolkit Ownership: Build and roll out RMN-specific sales playbooks, offsite POVs, and closed-loop measurement case studies. Lead training sessions to ensure RMN sales forces understand how to easily position and pitch Big Happy to their brand advertisers.
  • Pipeline & JBP Tracking: Monitor, analyze, and report on RMN partnership revenue adoption, campaign performance, and Joint Business Plan (JBP) milestones to internal leadership.
Retail Media Development & Commercialization
  • Position Big Happy as the premier, turnkey offsite extension partner for RMNs looking to scale past their O&O limitations using programmatic 3D DOOH and premium mobile environments.
  • Translate complex programmatic and creative capabilities into easy-to-understand value propositions for brand shopper marketers looking to drive high-impact, physical-to-digital retail lift.
  • Execute pilot frameworks and proof-of-concept campaigns (such as programmatic seasonal events) to demonstrate immediate return on ad spend (ROAS) and secure long-term exclusive agreements.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience specifically within Retail Media Networks (RMNs), Shopper Marketing, or Brand/Agency-side Retail Media Activation.
  • Exhibit a natural "builder" mentality with a strong focus on seamless execution and independent workflow management.
  • Deep understanding of how RMNs are structured, how offsite programmatic inventory is sold and integrated, and contemporary closed-loop attribution/measurement methodologies.
  • Demonstrate a history of fostering account growth and the confidence to present effectively to mid-and-senior-level external agency leadership.
  • Communicate with clarity, effectively distilling complex technical platform features into tangible business value for media planners and strategists.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to leverage performance metrics and spend data to drive joint business objectives.
  • Comfortable with travel to and from retail Headquarters at least 1x/month

Benefits
  • Full-time position with a competitive base salary and bonus structure
  • Access to benefits, including Healthcare, Dental, and Vision
  • HSA/FSA matching
  • Participation in Big Happy’s stock program
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Friday Half Days (except Q4)
  • Team Happy camaraderie—celebrating wins, learning from challenges, and fostering continuous career growth
  • A workplace culture where you can be yourself, contribute meaningfully, and be valued for your impact
