Sr. Market Strategy Manager (Corporate Strategy) - Remote

Role summary

This is a net new strategic role responsible for shaping Omnicell’s inorganic growth agenda.

You will evaluate market gaps, emerging adjacencies, and external opportunities to determine where Omnicell should invest, partner, or pursue acquisition.

The focus is not on running transactions. The focus is on identifying high-value opportunities, developing the strategic rationale, and informing leadership decisions before opportunities move into corporate development.

This is a strategy-first role. Heavy market segmentation/market sizing, synthesis, and recommendation. High visibility with leadership.

What you will do

Inorganic growth strategy

  • Identify market gaps, growth opportunities, and adjacencies in healthcare and pharmacy technology
  • Define target segments, partners, and acquisition candidates
  • Build market sizing models and opportunity assessments
  • Validate opportunities through market research and customer insights
  • Deliver clear recommendations on where Omnicell should invest, partner, or acquire

Opportunity shaping and handoff

  • Build early-stage business cases and strategic rationale for opportunities
  • Frame opportunities for leadership alignment and prioritization
  • Partner with corporate development to transition qualified opportunities into deal evaluation

Market intelligence and analysis

  • Conduct secondary research using AI tools, databases, and internal data
  • Analyze market dynamics, competition, and emerging technologies
  • Synthesize complex data into clear strategic narratives

Cross-functional partnership

  • Work closely with corporate strategy, M&A, product, and engineering
  • Support validation of opportunities with product and technical leaders
  • Influence decisions without direct ownership of execution

What success looks like

  • Clear pipeline of high-quality partnership and acquisition targets
  • Faster alignment on where to invest and why
  • Strong strategic rationale behind deals entering the funnel

What you bring

  • 8 to 12 years in strategy consulting or corporate strategy
  • Strong preference for healthcare experience. Health tech, SaaS, or pharmacy ecosystem is a plus
  • Proven experience in market analysis, opportunity sizing, and growth strategy
  • Exposure to M&A or partnerships. Focus on opportunity assessment, not deal execution
  • Strong analytical skills. You know how to turn data into decisions
  • Executive communication. Clear, structured, and direct
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and working upstream

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
