Role Summary

We’re looking for a strategic, high-ownership People Business Partner to support our Go-to-Market organization at Replit. This role will report into the Head of People Business Partners & Talent Programs and serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and broader GTM functions.
This role blends high-trust business partnership with hands-on execution. You’ll coach leaders through complex people and organizational challenges, drive core talent programs and operating rhythms, and help build scalable People programs that enable the business to move quickly.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable influencing senior leaders, navigating nuanced employee situations, improving team effectiveness, and rolling up their sleeves to build lightweight but impactful People programs, frameworks, and operating systems. This role is designed for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, operates with high ownership, and is excited about rethinking how modern People teams scale in an AI-native company.

In this role you will…
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leaders across Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Customer Success, and broader GTM functions, helping scale high-performing teams during rapid growth.

  • Coach leaders through organizational design, workforce planning, team effectiveness, leadership development, and scaling challenges.

  • Partner with leaders to navigate performance management, compensation discussions, promotions, leveling, employee relations matters, and organizational change.

  • Drive organizational health through direct feedback, thoughtful leadership partnership, and strong business and talent judgment.

  • Support and operationalize core talent programs, including performance cycles, calibration discussions, promotion processes, and manager enablement efforts.

  • Reinforce high performance standards, accountability, and clarity around expectations, feedback, and growth across the organization.

  • Partner on org design and team structure decisions, including spans, layers, role clarity, and manager effectiveness.

  • Use People insights, business context, and organizational data to proactively identify risks, friction points, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Build lightweight but scalable People frameworks, manager guidance, operating mechanisms, and repeatable processes that improve consistency and effectiveness across the business.

  • Partner closely with Talent Programs, Recruiting, Total Rewards, and People Operations to deliver a cohesive and scalable People experience.

  • Contribute to company-wide manager enablement, leadership programming, and People team operational excellence initiatives.

  • Leverage AI and automation to improve speed, quality, scalability, and consistency across People workflows and manager support.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve operational efficiency, and build scalable tools and resources that increase leverage across the People function.

Required skills and experience:
  • 10+ years of progressive HR, HRBP, or People Partner experience in high-growth environments

  • Strong experience supporting GTM organizations such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, or Revenue Operations

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and coach senior leaders

  • Deep experience with performance management, calibrations, promotions, and organizational design

  • Strong employee relations judgment and ability to navigate complex people situations thoughtfully and directly

  • Strong operator mindset with ability to balance strategy and execution

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and move quickly with high ownership

  • Strong business acumen and organizational judgment

  • Excitement around AI, automation, and modernizing People functions

Nice to have:
  • Experience in hypergrowth technology companies

  • Exposure to compensation planning and leveling frameworks

  • Exposure to global People programs (Canada, LATAM, EMEA, or APAC).

Tools + Tech Stack for this role:
  • HRIS / People Systems: Rippling, Workday

  • Performance & Feedback, Listening Systems: Lattice

  • Collaboration & Communication: Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, Zoom.

This role may not be a fit if
  • You prefer highly established processes, deep specialization, or a slow-paced environment.

  • You are uncomfortable switching between strategic planning and hands-on execution.

  • You prefer to manage programs through heavy documentation rather than lightweight, iterative processes.

  • You hesitate to push back, coach directly, or hold senior leaders accountable.

  • You rely on large People teams—this role builds the function while operating it.

This is a full-time role that can be held from our Foster City, CA office. The role has an in-office requirement of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
