BUILT ON FLAVOR.  FUELED BY PEOPLE.

What’s it like to work at Kinder’s? Well, there’s a lot of snacking and geeking out over what we all cooked over the weekend. Beyond that, there’s also plenty of hard work. Because we don’t just like flavor, we’re obsessed with it.

With over 100 products sold nationwide, we’re now a top-five brand in multiple flavor categories at Costco, Walmart, Whole Foods, and more. We’re not your typical CPG company. Privately held and founder-led, we like to think of ourselves as a pirate ship in a sea of cruise ships. Our crew is adventurous and fearless. We chart our own course and chase big ideas to make food unforgettable.

As we expand globally and approach $1 billion in revenue, we need more smart-and-scrappy, flavor-obsessed people to come aboard. If you’re looking for a place where you can see the real impact of your work... this is it! Every day, you’ll be part of a journey to add flavor to millions of meals and lives.

About the Role:

The Senior People & Culture Generalist is a trusted partner to leaders and employees across Kinder's, supporting the full employee lifecycle while helping build scalable People practices that enable our continued growth.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day employee support with strategic People initiatives. You'll partner with leaders, navigate employee relations, support talent programs, improve People processes, and help shape an engaging employee experience across the organization.

Success in this role requires sound judgment, strong business acumen, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities shift quickly.

Key Responsibilities Include:

People Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations, performance management, coaching, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide thoughtful guidance on people decisions while balancing employee experience and business needs.
  • Coach leaders through difficult conversations, performance challenges, organizational change, and career development discussions.
  • Help leaders build high-performing, inclusive teams.

Support Employee Experience

  • Partner across the employee lifecycle including onboarding, development, internal mobility, performance management, engagement, and offboarding.
  • Ensure employees receive an exceptional experience from their first day through every stage of their career.
  • Respond thoughtfully to employee questions while maintaining confidentiality and trust.
  • Help reinforce Kinder's values through everyday interactions.

Talent & Performance

  • Support company-wide performance management processes.
  • Partner with leaders on development planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and organizational health discussions.
  • Collaborate with Recruiting to ensure smooth transitions from candidate to employee.
  • Help identify opportunities to strengthen leadership capability across the organization.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Conduct employee relations conversations and workplace investigations with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
  • Partner with legal and leadership on sensitive employee matters when appropriate.
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws and ensure compliance across People practices.

Programs & Process Improvement

  • Help design, implement, and continuously improve People programs that scale with company growth.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate friction, and improve the employee experience.
  • Support initiatives across engagement, recognition, learning, culture, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Contribute to cross-functional People projects and strategic initiatives.

Data & Insights

  • Analyze People metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with leaders to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support People reporting as needed.
What Success Will Look Like:
  • Become a trusted People partner for leaders across the organization.
  • Help managers navigate employee situations with confidence and consistency.
  • Improve key People processes that enhance employee and manager experiences.
  • Strengthen performance management and talent development practices.
  • Build strong relationships across departments while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • Help Kinder's continue scaling without losing what makes our culture special.
Skills + Experience:
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources or People & Culture experience with broad Generalist responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting leaders in a high-growth, fast-paced organization.
  • Strong employee relations and performance management experience.
  • Proven ability to coach managers through complex people situations.
  • Working knowledge of California and multi-state employment law preferred.
  • Experience partnering across Recruiting, Learning & Development, Compensation, and People Operations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfort working independently while collaborating across a highly cross-functional organization.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms and leveraging People data to inform decisions.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
Pay Transparency:

The expected starting salary range for this role is $115,000- $125,000 per year. The salary range posted for this role reflects the good-faith base pay range Kinder’s reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting and may vary based on the location of the role. Individual compensation within the posted range will be determined based on factors such as relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, and business needs.

SEASONED FOR SUCCESS:
  • No two days here are the same.
  • We try to be good team members and good communicators, but we don’t live by hierarchy and structure – everyone is a difference maker here.
  • We make a lot of decisions in the face of incomplete information – our team embraces ambiguity and tries to make good decisions fast rather than great decisions slow.
  • We believe our job is to take smart risk, not to eliminate risk.
  • We believe in growing our skills and becoming a better company with more managerial expertise, but we are an entrepreneurial company at heart.
  • We aren’t trying to be average – we want to do exceptional things, and we are willing to work hard to achieve them.
BENEFITS THAT BRING MORE TO THE TABLE:

We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, 401k, bonus / incentive eligibility, equity grants, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits, including parental leave. Kinder’s benefits vary based on eligibility and can be reviewed in more detail during the interview process.

OUR RECIPE FOR BALANCE:

We believe great culture starts with people. We’re a people-first company built on connection, collaboration, and balance. Most of our work happens in the office to spark creativity and community, but we also offer flexibility so team members have the autonomy to work outside the office when needed to support their work-life balance and personal commitments.

WHERE EVERY INGREDIENT MATTERS:

Kinder's is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender, citizenship, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, results of genetic testing, veteran status, as well as any other legally-protected characteristic. If you have a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act or similar law, and you need any accommodation during the application process or to perform these job requirements, please reach out to us at [email protected]
