About the Role

The Sr Personal Loans Analyst plays a key role in driving performance across Happen Bank's Personal Loans business, supporting core offer programs like TopUp, Refinance, and Pre-Approved offers alongside emerging growth initiatives. This role partners closely with Product, Marketing, Risk, and Finance to turn data into action, helping the team move faster and smarter on what's working and what's not. You'll help shape how the business grows by translating performance insights into real decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Support execution of initiatives across core Personal Loans programs, including TopUp, Refi, and Pre-Approved/Prescreen, as well as new growth efforts
  • Help develop and roll out new offer features and program enhancements, including pricing, fees, eligibility, and customer experience improvements
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Risk, and Finance to keep delivery on track against shared goals
  • Analyze performance data to surface trends, flag issues, and identify opportunities to improve conversion, engagement, and program effectiveness
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that make performance easy to monitor and act on, using AI tools where they help speed up analysis or surface insights faster
  • Support test-and-learn experimentation by helping design analyses, track results, and translate findings into next steps
  • Identify opportunities to streamline recurring analyses or reporting workflows, bringing new tools and approaches to the team where useful

About You

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, consulting, or a related analytical role; bachelor's degree in a related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • You've been using AI tools long enough to have real opinions about them, and you bring good judgment about what to trust, what to verify, and when they add value to your work
  • You collaborate well across teams and adjust your approach based on feedback and context
  • Clear, concise communicator who can present data and insights in a way that drives decisions
  • Curious and motivated to learn the unsecured lending ecosystem
  • Bias toward action, with a strong focus on accuracy and follow-through
Nice to Have
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or similar tools
  • Prior exposure to lending, credit, or offer/pricing strategy

Work Location
San Francisco
The above locations are eligible offices for this role. The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role’s team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role’s success, and remote placement will not be considered. Happen Bank offers relocation, based on actual job level.
Time Zone Requirements
Local hours (PT)
While the position will primarily work local hours, Happen Bank is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.
Travel Requirements
As needed travel to Happen Bank offices and/or other locations, as needed.
Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is 109,000-128,000. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. Base salary is just one part of Happen Bank's Total Rewards package. You may also be eligible for long-term awards (equity) and an annual bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings).
