About the Role

The Sr Personal Loans Growth Strategy Manager plays a critical role in advancing LendingClub’s Personal Loans business by owning a defined growth area and driving a portfolio of high-impact initiatives. This individual contributor shapes strategy and leads execution to improve acquisition, conversion, and member engagement.
Reporting to the Senior Director, this role operates at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and execution—translating ambiguous opportunities into clear priorities and delivering measurable impact. The ideal candidate combines strong business judgment with analytical rigor and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Own a defined growth area or set of high-impact problems within the Personal Loans business (e.g., acquisition, funnel conversion, lifecycle engagement)
  • Identify new growth opportunities using data and market insights, and shape strategy and roadmap decisions
  • Lead end-to-end execution across a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring alignment to business goals and measurable impact, and monitor post-launch performance to diagnose gaps and refine approach
  • Drive experimentation and optimization (test → learn → scale) to continuously improve outcomes
  • Partner with and influence cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Risk, Finance) to align on priorities, tradeoffs, and execution
  • Deliver clear, concise, and actionable communications to senior leadership to inform decisions and drive alignment
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, generate insights, and improve decision-making across growth initiatives, while maintaining high standards for data quality, accuracy, and compliance

About You

  • 6+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, consulting, or a related field, with a focus on growth, product, or strategy
  • Proven ability to drive measurable impact against key business metrics
  • Demonstrated experience operating in ambiguous problem spaces and helping shape strategy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders without direct authority
  • Strong business judgment and prioritization skills; able to make tradeoffs across competing opportunities
  • You actively use AI to accelerate analysis, pressure-test thinking, and improve decision quality. You bring a clear point of view on where it adds value (and where it doesn’t), and you help others adopt it in practical, responsible ways
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, concise narratives
  • Experience managing contractors or working across distributed teams is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required; or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar tools is a plus
