Position Description:       

Sr. Principal IT Architect for Medtronic, Inc., located in Northridge, CA. Responsible for the development of next generation Diabetes IT systems. Responsible for developing reference architecture blueprints, system & platform roadmaps, technological solutions, solution implementation strategy, and collaboratively working with stakeholders to drive IT solutions that meet the needs of business capabilities. Participate in architecture roadmap definition & planning; research, evaluate, and prototype new technologies & products; perform fit gap analysis for system modernization, rationalization, and consolidation. Responsible for Salesforce ecosystem, including areas Sales, Service, Commerce, Health, Marketing for cloud environment and Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) platforms to include SAP and/or Oracle.  Drive Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Micro-services, Event driven Architecture, Integration suite, including MuleSoft, Web Methods, SAP Process Orchestration (PO), and Gateway. Leverage Data Architecture, including Master Data Mgmt, data modelling, data migration, analytics & reporting. Utilize Cloud Services with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and deployment models with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) on Compute, Storage, Network & Security Architecture. Leverage enterprise architecture frameworks to include The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and Zachman in technology organization. Drive organizational maturity on DevOps, Automation, adaptation of Cloud/ AI for system transformation. Leverage knowledge from having certifications as a Salesforce Application Architect and AWS Certified Solutions Architect. Position requires on-site work in Northridge, CA 3 days per week, and permits remote work 2 days per week. #LI-DNI. 

Basic Qualifications:        

Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Applications, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related engineering or IT field and six (6) years of experience as a system solution architect. Must possess at least six (6) years of experience with each of the following: Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales, Service, Commerce, Health, Marketing cloud environment, and ERP platforms to include SAP and/or Oracle; SOA, Micro-services, Event driven Architecture, and Integration suite including MuleSoft, Web Methods, SAP PO, or Gateway; Data Architecture, including Master Data Mgmt., data modelling, data migration, analytics & reporting; Cloud Services with AWS and deployment models with IaaS, PaaS on Compute, Storage, Network & Security Architecture; enterprise architecture frameworks to include TOGAF or Zachman in technology organization; and organizational maturity on DevOps, Automation, adaptation of Cloud/AI for system transformation.
The following certifications are required: Salesforce Application Architect and AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
Position requires on-site work in Northridge, CA 3 days per week, and permits remote work 2 days per week.

Salary: $202,000 to $229,200 per year

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
