Your Impact

The Role

As a Sr Principal Solution Consultant, you will collaborate closely with AspenTech sales teams to lead consultative discovery sessions, craft visionary solutions, and design strategies tailored to customer needs. Your deep understanding of the Metals & Mining, Specialty Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper industries, coupled with AspenTech's broad product portfolio and value-enablers will drive opportunities that deliver significant business value to our customers and AspenTech.

In this customer-facing role, you will leverage your exceptional business, industry, and technical expertise to position AspenTech solutions effectively

Your Impact

  • Leading and executing the technical qualification of solutions to a business outcome.
  • Understanding the Metals & Mining, Specialty Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper markets regionally, staying abreast of developments in the industry and customer base
  • Learning the complete AspenTech product portfolio, to identify and apply products to solve real customer business challenges, including the value of solving those challenges.
  • Developing the messaging and materials necessary to position AspenTech solutions in the Metals & Mining, Specialty Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper industries – making adaptations for regional or market differences
  • Accompanying the Sales Team to meet with customers to articulate the broader vision for AspenTech in Metals & Mining, Specialty Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper industries, as needed
  • Demonstrating how AspenTech delivers significant value to the Metals & Mining, Specialty Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper markets, through a program of solutions
  • Engaging the Senior Executive Level of customer organizations to paint the vision of how AspenTech can be a partner in their Digitalization journey
  • Developing industry-specific solutions, aligning technology with measurable business value.
  • Providing market input to the Product Management Teams to improve solution adoption in the Metals & Mining, Specialty Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper markets
  • Identifying and leading sales campaigns to improve AspenTech reach in Metals & Mining, Specialty Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper to improve pipeline and awareness.
  • Training & educating Sales Account Managers and Solution Consultants on how to best engage Metals & Mining, Specialty Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper customers, in their specific regions.
  • Present AspenTech solutions at major trade-shows and events, globally
What You'll Need

What You’ll Need

  • 10+ years of experience in Metals & Mining, Specialty Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper industries selling software solutions
  • Engineering Degree preferred
  • Experienced in all aspects of the Metals & Mining, Specialty Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper industries, best practices and processes
  • Proficiency in one or several AspenTech Solution areas, particularly Advanced Control & Optimization, Asset Performance Management, Data Historization & Fabric, and Engineering
  • Knowledge of AI/ML solutions and their application in solutions and industry
  • Strong ability to bridge technology and business, articulating high-level technical solutions and their differentiated value.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills based on stakeholder interactions and data insights.
  • Strong drive to convert opportunities into recognized value for customers.
  • Travel up to 35%
