Job Summary & Responsibilities

Job Overview:

This is a position offering excellent professional and career development in Knowles Precision Device Division. In this critical role, you will be working side-by-side with Process and Equipment Engineering, Production & Planning, QA and R&D teams at Knowles Valencia and be responsible for High volume MLCC process development and optimization, managing the new assembly and equipment project to support stable, high yielding and cost-effective process. The position will be based at Knowles Valencia CA Site.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate with cross functional teams to lead the projects for process optimization to timely meet project schedule objectives.
  • Working with Process engineering team to achieve the monthly yield and scrap target.
  • Responsible to lead the troubleshooting of the integrated processes through large process data mapping/analysis and come out the solutions.
  • Create visibility to key metrics including project status, project funnel, process capability measures, SPC, etc.
  • Evaluate, prioritize and justify capital expenditures to support process improvement projects.
  • Coordinate the automation programs to drive productivity improvement.
  • Collaborate with Production and Planning teams to meet On-Time-To-Plan (OTTP) goals and financial objectives, including yield improvement and scrap reduction targets.

 

 

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors, or advanced degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Industrial engineering, Statistical or equivalent.
  • 5+ Experience in semi-conductor advanced manufacturing process, process data analysis, MLCC fabrication and process related failure analysis experience preferred
  • Strong technical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a deep commitment to operational excellence.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with ceramic capacitor process and characterization, including but not limited to mylar tape casting, screen printing, firing, viscosity, ceramic capacitor electrical testing will be plus.
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing engineering techniques, i.e. D.O.E., JMP, Six Sigma and statistical analysis.
  • Experience in project management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., data analysis, pivot tables, macros).

The annual salary for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 annually
