Description

Overview:

The Sr. Project Manager, EPMO plans, manages, and delivers multiple medium-to-large, complex projects enterprise-wide, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality are met while keeping the member and internal-customer experience at the forefront. Acting as a change agent across cross-functional teams, the Sr. Project Manager is fluent in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery and applies the approach best suited to each initiative. This role owns end-to-end delivery, keeps stakeholders informed, and mentors project managers and teams in sound delivery practices.

 What You Will Do:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, developing full-scale plans with clearly defined scope, goals, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria in partnership with project owners.
  • Apply the right methodology — Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid — based on the complexity and risk profile of each initiative and manage a minimum of 4–5 concurrent projects.
  • Facilitate Agile delivery by running sprints and ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives), managing the backlog in Jira, and removing impediments to keep teams on track.
  • Manage change control, resource allocation, and vendor coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively resolving or escalating to protect timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct project closures, ensuring operational integration, capture of lessons learned, and evaluation against defined success criteria.
  • Support portfolio reporting and success metrics, and identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Report project status and communicate updates to senior leadership and business review teams using appropriate tools, techniques, and metrics.
  • Provide direction and mentoring to project teams, managers, owners, and sponsors, encouraging trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • PMP or PMI-ACP certification.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Experience in the financial services or banking industry.
  • 6–8 years of project or program management experience leading complex, enterprise-wide initiatives, including technology and digital projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of project management and delivery tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Excel) and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and presenting to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead meetings and formal presentations at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset, using metrics and data to drive decision-making and delivery success.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, results orientation, and the ability to balance people, technical, and business needs.
