Fieldpiece is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional programs that bring hardware products with integrated firmware and software from concept through launch and into sustaining. The ideal candidate is a central stabilizing force for cross-functional teams, translating shifting strategic goals into executable plans while driving delivery, accountability, and operational order in a rapidly scaling environment that is sometimes difficult to parse. You’re a hands-on project manager who brings structure without bureaucracy, thrives in complexity, and enjoys helping organizations mature how they execute while moving fast.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end development and launch of complex hardware platforms and connected software ecosystems
- Manage multiple, interdependent project plans across hardware (EVT/DVT/PVT), firmware, and software (Agile/SDLC)
- Align diverse internal stakeholders and external partners, including ODMs and overseas manufacturers
- Proactively identify risks, resolve conflicts, and negotiate trade-offs across scope, schedule, and resources
- Serve as a clear, credible communicator—mediating priorities, filtering noise, and driving decisions
- Implement and scale structured project governance (Gate Reviews, hybrid Agile/Waterfall workflows)
- Apply Lean / DBS principles to improve execution while preserving speed and flexibility
- Provide transparent, data-driven program updates to senior leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 10+ years of project or program management experience in engineering or manufacturing environments
- Proven success delivering hardware products with tightly integrated software
- Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, or Danaher Business System (DBS) methodologies
- Highly organized with exceptional communication, negotiation, and mediation skills
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and sometimes ambiguous environments
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, or MS Project
- Experience working with external vendors and international partners
- PMP, CSM, Prosci, or Six Sigma certification a plus

The California base annual salary range for this role is currently $130,000-165,000 plus 10% bonus. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
