Day in the Life of a Sr. Salesforce Project Manager

As a Sr. Project Manager, you are the face of Neocol and main point of contact for the clients.  You will establish a comprehensive understanding of client expectations and business processes and then architect and manage a plan to meet those goals. This position may involve travel. 

Project & Delivery Leadership

  • Coordinate with Client PM to own scope, schedule, budget and manage client communications and with Neocol team resources accordingly
  • Own the overall delivery of engagements and ensure all team members are accountable for their individual roles and deliverables.
  • Proactively identify, manage through, and escalate project risks and issues to internal and external executive team members, as needed.
  • Identify and address project scope issues and manage the customer through the process of issue resolution, change order, or other processes.
  • Provide feedback, leadership, and direction to individual team members within each engagement.
  • Work with fellow  Neocol Project Managers and delivery teams to share resources across projects and maintain forecasts

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates discovery sessions and requirements gathering workshops ensuring the right participants are ’in the room’.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, exceeding expectations and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively.
  • Support clients through change management and user adoption initiatives.

Practice Development

  • Serve as a contributing member of the Customer Success practice and mentor other Project Managers across Neocol.
  • Contribute to the development of engagement and project standards, best practices, templates, and other artifacts to establish Neocol’s reputation and performance in customer success.
  • Support and contribute to company and practice “all hands”, training, and other events and sessions to further the development of our sales and delivery practitioners at Neocol.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience delivering Salesforce projects in a consultant capacity
  • Strong understanding of B2B and B2C customer lifecycles inclusive of contract, quote, order and billing, data migrations, and integrations, 
  • Familiarity with technical solutions utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Comfortable with maintaining high utilization in multiple fast paced projects
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • PM Tool Experience: Salesforce and reporting capabilities, JIRA, Smartsheet, Slack, Google Workspace
  • Scrum Master and/or PMP certifications
  • Ability to see situations from all aspects and articulate solutions clearly for the best path forward.
