About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Slack Platform Engineer to lead CrowdStrike's Slack Enterprise Grid architecture and operations. This role is critical in maintaining and securing our primary collaboration platform used by 10,000+ employees globally. As the Slack platform expert, you will be responsible for platform architecture, security controls, performance optimization, and integration with our identity and security frameworks. The ideal candidate will

combine deep Slack expertise with strong security knowledge and excellent platform engineering abilities.

 

What You'll Do:

Platform Architecture & Strategy-

  • Lead Slack Enterprise Grid architecture and strategy.

  • Design and implement security controls and integrations.

  • Optimize platform performance and scalability.

  • Develop automation and integration frameworks.

  • Create platform standards and best practices.

Security Implementation-

  • Implement Identity Spec 1.0 requirements for Slack.

  • Design and enforce DLP controls.

  • Manage external collaboration security.

  • Monitor platform security.

  • Coordinate security incident response.

Platform Operations-

  • Manage Slack Enterprise Grid administration.

  • Optimize workspace configurations.

  • Monitor platform performance.

  • Implement governance controls.

  • Maintain platform reliability.

Integration & Automation-

  • Design integration patterns with identity platforms.

  • Develop automation frameworks.

  • Create custom workflows.

  • Implement monitoring solutions.

  • Guide bot development strategy.

 

What You'll Need:

  • 7+ years of enterprise platform engineering, platform management (enterprise administration, workspace management, security implementation, performance management, capacity planning, and vendor management).

  • 4+ years of Slack Enterprise Grid experience.

  • Experience with Slack API.

  • Strong security implementation background (access controls, DLP, monitoring, Incident Response, compliance).

  • Experience with identity integration/platforms (Okta).

  • Track record of platform optimization, knowledge of automation frameworks, and integration.

  • Familiarity with Python/Node.js, REST APIs, Git, CI/CD.

  • Problem-solving, strong communication, and leadership abilities.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $125,000 - $180,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
