ABOUT THE TEAM 

Our team sits at the nexus between the flagship Basis Platform application and our Demand-Side Platform, a real-time auction engine that competes in billions of ad auctions a day, each with a sub-100ms latency. 

We implement features and workflows that surface the DSP capabilities making the functionality approachable for the novice and power users alike. The work is high-visibility, revenue-impacting, and customer-facing. The features and projects we take on reach across internal and external boundaries, services, and orgs. We deal in data, and lots of it! Implementation is not just code and structure, we consider resources, performance, and scalability. 

WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE  

You'll build net-new Basis Platform features, develop the integrations that bridge Basis Platform and our DSP, and extend the existing feature sets that our customers rely on every day. What makes you a great fit for the team:   

    • Ownership. You run with autonomy and own what you ship — quality, reliability, and what happens after it hits production. You're at home driving projects from first sketch to launch and beyond.  

    • Relentless Curiosity. You close your own gaps in knowledge, skill, and domain — and that depth shows up in planning, where you catch risks early and keep the technical path aligned with the business goals.  

    • Leadership. You lead projects end-to-end across our stack, set the bar for quality, and pull other engineers up with you.  

    • Collaboration. You demonstrate strong partnerships and communication skills through pull requests, demos, and working relationships.  

    • Positivity. You bring a sense of strategic optimism and a solution-oriented mindset to work, while embodying Basis' core principles. 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

    • 5+ years professional software development experience.   

    • Proven experience designing, building, and scaling modern, productionlevel frontend experiences using React, with supporting backend work in Ruby on Rails.  

    • Current with modern development practices, including AI-assisted and agentic workflows for code generation, debugging, exploring, and documentation.  

    • Strong grasp of data modeling and system design.  

    • Enthusiastic growth-oriented mindset. 

BONUS POINTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field  

    • Experience with Spring Boot, Quarkus  

    • Excited by a fast-paced product development environment  

    • Passion for Ad-Tech
