Overview

SuperDial is hiring a Senior Software Engineer I to help build the systems behind our AI-driven healthcare products. Our voice and LLM-powered solutions help healthcare organizations reduce administrative burden, improve revenue cycle workflows, and operate more efficiently at scale.

We recently closed our Series B and are entering an exciting stage of product development. Our Engineering and Product teams are building new capabilities across AI agent performance, workflow automation, customer integrations, and cloud-native infrastructure. This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who wants to work with modern technology, solve complex real-world problems, and contribute directly to the next generation of healthcare infrastructure.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer I, you will be a member of the Engineering team and work closely with Product Management to turn customer needs and product goals into reliable software. You will own well-scoped engineering projects from design through delivery, contribute to technical discussions, and help ship high-quality product and platform improvements.

This role is a senior individual contributor role for someone who can operate independently, make sound implementation decisions, communicate clearly, and deliver with strong follow-through. It is not a Staff or Tech Lead role, but it requires more than task execution; we are looking for someone who brings ownership, judgment, and product awareness to their work.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, test, and maintain backend services that support AI-powered healthcare workflows.

  • Build scalable APIs, data systems, integrations, and platform components for SuperDial’s voice and automation products.

  • Partner closely with Product Management to clarify requirements, shape implementation plans, and connect technical work to customer impact.

  • Develop and operate backend systems in a modern, GCP-based cloud environment.

  • Write clean, reliable, maintainable code with attention to testing, observability, performance, and security.

  • Debug production issues, identify root causes, and improve system reliability and quality.

  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design reviews with engineering teammates.

  • Collaborate with frontend, infrastructure, machine learning, product, and operations teams to ship end-to-end product improvements.

  • Help improve internal engineering practices, tooling, documentation, and developer experience as the team scales.

  • Build with awareness of HIPAA-sensitive data, compliance needs, and data integrity across healthcare workflows.

About You
  • You have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in backend, platform, or full-stack product development.

  • You have strong programming skills in Python.

  • You have experience building and maintaining production backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.

  • You are comfortable working with RESTful or gRPC APIs and service-oriented or microservices architectures.

  • You have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure; GCP experience is strongly preferred.

  • You have experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as Postgres, Redis, or DynamoDB.

  • You are familiar with containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • You have exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, or you are excited to deepen that experience.

  • You have strong debugging skills and are comfortable operating production systems.

  • You bring systems thinking and a bias toward building reliable, maintainable services.

  • You can independently own well-scoped projects while partnering effectively with senior engineers on more complex technical decisions.

  • You communicate clearly and work well with Product Management and cross-functional partners.

  • You are curious about AI, voice technology, automation, healthcare infrastructure, and revenue cycle management.

  • You bring high ownership, low ego, and a bias toward action in a fast-moving startup environment.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 30 days, you will ramp on SuperDial’s product, engineering architecture, GCP-based infrastructure, healthcare RCM workflows, and current priorities. You will begin contributing to production code and building context on how our systems support customer workflows.

Within 60 days, you will independently own well-scoped backend or platform projects, partner effectively with Product Management, and contribute to technical discussions with clear judgment and strong follow-through.

Within 90 days, you will be a trusted contributor on the Engineering team, regularly shipping high-quality work, improving the systems you touch, and demonstrating strong ownership of product and technical outcomes.

How We’ll Understand Fit

During the interview process, we will assess:

  • Technical fundamentals: Can you write clean, reliable, maintainable code?

  • Backend systems ability: Can you build and reason about APIs, services, data models, and production systems?

  • Product partnership: Can you work closely with Product Management and connect technical work to customer impact?

  • Execution quality: Can you deliver well-scoped projects with speed, clarity, and attention to quality?

  • Problem-solving: Can you break down ambiguous or complex problems into practical implementation steps?

  • Ownership: Do you clarify scope, communicate risks, and follow through without needing heavy direction?

  • Learning agility: Can you quickly ramp on our product, technical stack, and healthcare RCM domain?

Why SuperDial?
  • Join a fast-growing AI startup shortly after our Series B close.

  • Build voice and LLM-powered automation that solves meaningful problems in healthcare operations.

  • Work with modern cloud-native technology in a GCP-based environment.

  • Partner closely with Product Management and customer-facing teams to build products that are actively used in market.

  • Own meaningful technical scope while learning from a strong, ambitious engineering team.

  • Help reduce administrative burden for healthcare organizations and improve how revenue cycle teams operate.
