The Sr. Director of Procurement will be responsible for developing and executing global procurement strategies that align with the company's business objectives, focusing on cost optimization, supplier performance, supplier quality, and supply continuity. This leader will oversee strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver competitive advantages, operational excellence, and business growth. The Sr. Director will act as the primary liaison between procurement, engineering, operations, and senior leadership teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute long-term and short-term strategic procurement plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead global procurement teams to deliver cost savings, supply continuity, supplier quality and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships, including negotiation of complex contracts and development of supplier performance management strategies.
  • Oversee supplier transitions, including insourcing, outsourcing, and supplier consolidations to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Finance, to support new product introductions and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Drive implementation of cost analytics, should-cost models, and value engineering to achieve total cost of ownership savings.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including multi-sourcing and contingency planning.
  • Lead the development and implementation of procurement processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage large procurement budgets ($300M+) and drive achievement of financial targets, including CE/VE savings and working capital improvements.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to procurement professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

 

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing with global responsibilities.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large spend categories and driving cost savings initiatives.
  • Expertise in cost modeling, financial analysis, and risk management.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), e-sourcing platforms, and project management tools.
  • Experience in the Electronics industry preferred.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Certification preferred.
  • Global experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement highly valued.
