Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. The Sr. Technical Recruiter will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring top technical talent across the organization. You will partner closely with engineering and technical leaders to build high-performing teams and drive hiring outcomes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role requires a strong executor with deep experience in technical recruiting, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of closing highly competitive candidates.
What You’ll Do- Partner with hiring managers across engineering and technical teams to understand hiring needs, technical requirements, and team dynamics
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to attract top technical talent across software, infrastructure, data, and related domains
- Own the end-to-end recruiting process, including sourcing, screening, interview management, and offer negotiation
- Build and maintain strong pipelines of technical candidates for both current and future hiring needs
- Conduct in-depth candidate assessments, evaluating both technical capability and alignment with company values
- Provide market insights on talent trends, compensation, and competitive landscape to inform hiring decisions
- Deliver a high-quality candidate experience with clear communication and strong process execution
- Track recruiting activity, funnel metrics, and hiring outcomes to continuously improve performance
- 3+ years of technical recruiting experience in a startup or in-house environment
- Proven success hiring for technical roles (e.g., software engineering, infrastructure, SRE, data, security, etc.)
- Strong ability to partner with and influence engineering leaders and technical stakeholders
- Solid understanding of technical roles, skill sets, and hiring landscapes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to assess technical talent and calibrate effectively with hiring teams
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple searches in a fast-paced environment
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on delivering results
This role will require consistent on-site presence at our office in Santa Clara / San Jose, with an expectation of 4 days per week in office.

We foster a pay-for-performance culture and reward contributions that support the Company’s strategy. For this position, we are targeting a base pay between $100,000 - $150,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
