Making the Metals Powering the World

Solcoa exists to stabilize the western rare-earth metal supply chain—powering every fighter jet, EV, wind turbine, phone, and generator. We’re among the very few companies outside China producing rare-earth metals—and the only one delivering a 100% U.S. supply of both light and heavy rare earths. Our carbon-zero process converts end-of-life magnets directly into metal, ready to accelerate energy independence and secure one of the world’s most vital resources.

We are a lean, well-funded team rapidly accelerating Western rare-earth production. We’re building a world-class team to solve this crisis.

The Role — Sr. Technical Recruiter

The Technical Recruiter will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring top talent across our engineering, process, and technical operations teams. You'll partner closely with our founders and technical leaders to scale a world-class team during a pivotal growth period as we commission our Alameda facility and expand toward commercial production. This role requires a strong executor with experience recruiting for technical and manufacturing roles, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a track record of closing highly competitive candidates in specialized, hard-to-fill functions.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner with hiring managers across process engineering, chemistry, materials science, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing operations to understand hiring needs, technical requirements, and team dynamics

  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to attract top talent across rare earths, metallurgy, chemical and process engineering, mechanical engineering, and advanced manufacturing

  • Own the end-to-end recruiting process, including sourcing, screening, interview management, and offer negotiation

  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of technical candidates for both immediate and future hiring needs as we scale from pilot to commercial production

  • Conduct in-depth candidate assessments, evaluating both technical capability and alignment with our mission and values

  • Provide market insights on talent trends, compensation benchmarks, and the competitive landscape across cleantech, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing to inform hiring decisions

  • Deliver a high-quality candidate experience with clear communication and strong process execution

  • Own our applicant tracking system (Ashby) and continuously improve workflows, templates, and reporting

  • Track recruiting activity, funnel metrics, and hiring outcomes to continuously improve performance

  • Solid understanding of technical roles, skill sets, and hiring landscapes in hard tech or advanced manufacturing

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
