The Opportunity

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a proactive and product-obsessed Staff Motion Designer to join our Brand Creative team. This role will drive and contribute to bold, expressive storytelling about our products and the customers who use them. You’re a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for exceptional creative outputs and an interest in emerging technology. In addition to shipping high-quality work and setting the standard for how our brand articulates itself in its hyper-crowded landscape, you’ll help smooth out operational processes and problem-solve cross-functionally.

As a Staff Motion Designer, you will:

  • Conceptualize our brand and product storytelling through motion: Develop creative concepts and visual storytelling solutions for product launches, brand campaigns, explainer videos, and marketing assets.
  • Design and animate with exceptional craft: Create high-quality motion graphics, animations, and visual effects for digital platforms, websites, social media, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners: Work closely with product, marketing, UX/UI, and engineering teams to ensure motion design enhances user experience and aligns with project goals.
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines: Ensure all motion design work is consistent with established brand guidelines, and contribute to evolving motion standards for the brand.
  • Lead and mentor: Provide art direction, feedback, and mentorship to junior motion designers and other creatives on the team with whom you partner.
  • Stay updated on cutting-edge technology: Research and implement emerging motion design trends, tools, and best practices to keep the team’s work fresh and competitive.
  • Pitch creative ideas: Present motion concepts and storyboards to stakeholders, clearly communicating the rationale behind creative decisions.
  • Manage multiple projects: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The person who will be an excellent fit for this role will demonstrate:

  • Proactivity: The company is moving quickly and it’s easy to feel left behind in the velocity. Intrinsic proactivity will be key for this role to succeed.
  • Understanding of core strategy: Your work will push the boundaries of our brand, but also needs to be relevant to the business.
  • Curiosity: This role will require questioning, challenging, and embracing discussion. You’ll need to fall in love with the details and seek to understand where the gaps lie.
  • Grit: This role will be required to work in constantly changing product conditions as the company continues to ship at a high velocity.

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
