Role Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Fullstack Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications that make a significant impact on healthcare delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement robust solutions that support our mission of enhancing patient care and streamlining healthcare processes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and develop responsive, high-performance web applications that serve as the backbone of our healthcare AI platform.

  • Collaborate with product managers and UX/UI designers to translate requirements into technical designs and user-friendly interfaces.

  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs to enable seamless integrations with various healthcare systems and third-party services.

  • Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) to ensure high reliability and maintainability of our software.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack, from front-end functionality to back-end infrastructure.

  • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and technical expertise to foster their growth and enhance team capabilities.

  • Work closely with our data science team to deploy machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) algorithms into production environments.

  • Contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews, ensuring adherence to design principles and standards.

  • Engage in agile development processes, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to continuously improve team workflows.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience in fullstack web development, with a focus on modern technologies and frameworks.

  • Excellent problem-solving, coding, and debugging skills with a proven ability to deliver scalable solutions.

  • Deep understanding of modern web application development, including proficiency in front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby).

  • Strong ability to break down complex problems into manageable components and implement effective solutions across multiple services.

  • Experience writing maintainable, well-tested, and reliable code, with adherence to software development best practices.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate designs, architecture, and technical concepts clearly.

  • A collaborative mindset, willing to work closely with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

We value in-person collaboration and connection. For Bay Area–based employees, this role requires being in our San Mateo office at least three days a week. For remote employees, occasional travel to headquarters is expected for company-wide events and onsite gatherings.
