You will understand customer applications and ecosystems and have insight into their challenges and how to solve them.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the “go-to” product leader for Data center/hyperscaler-focused SSD solutions, driving product strategy, roadmap definition, and end-to-end business plans for KIOXIA’s next-generation SSD portfolio
- Own and drive deep engagement with hyperscale customers (cloud, AI, and large-scale data center operators) to translate evolving infrastructure needs into differentiated product requirements
- Lead the development of market requirements documents (MRDs) and product requirement documents (PRDs) by synthesizing customer inputs, workload trends (AI/ML, analytics, cloud storage), and competitive intelligence
- Align cross-functional execution across marketing, sales, engineering, operations, and support to ensure successful product development, qualification, and deployment at scale
- Define and execute go-to-market strategies tailored for hyperscale customers, including pricing, positioning, qualification strategy, and volume ramp plans
- Drive design wins and qualifications with hyperscalers, including:
- Ownership of AVL processes, interop validation, and large-scale deployment readiness
- Close collaboration with ecosystem partners (CPU, GPU, platform, and software vendors)
- Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and TCO dynamics to define winning product strategies in performance, power, endurance, and cost
- Act as the bridge between technical and commercial domains, ensuring alignment between customer requirements, engineering trade-offs, and business outcomes
- Oversee pre-sales and customer engagement activities, including RFQs, RFIs, technical deep-dives, and spec gap analysis
- Develop customer-facing and internal product collateral, including solution briefs, competitive positioning, and executive presentations
- Own the full product lifecycle from concept and definition through development, launch, ramp, and end-of-life

- Enterprise and hyperscale storage systems (block, file, object storage)
- Familiarity with:
- AI/ML infrastructure and data pipelines (GPU-based systems, KV cache, storage tiering)
- Software-defined storage, virtualization, and cloud-native environments (Linux, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Proven ability to translate complex technical, market, and financial data into clear product strategies and differentiated features
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both internal stakeholders and external customers
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple complex programs, prioritizing under uncertainty, and driving decisions with incomplete data
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills across global teams
- Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels, from long-term roadmap planning to tactical issue resolution
- Role may require cross-segment flexibility in the future, with the opportunity to rotate between Client (OEM/Notebook), Hyperscale/Data Center or Enterprise (Large OEMs) SSD Product Management to build broad domain expertise and drive unified product strategy
- Willingness to travel (~25%) for customer engagements, design reviews, and industry events
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hyperscale qualification cycles, deployment models, and fleet-level optimization (performance, power, endurance, TCO)
- Exposure to industry standards and consortia (e.g., NVMe, OCP, SNIA)
- Background in ecosystem collaboration (CPU/GPU vendors, platform providers, storage software vendors)
- Experience in AI-driven storage use cases and next-generation data center architectures
