We are looking for a Staff Network and Infrastructure Engineer to join our Cloud Ops Team. This role is  hybrid onsite three days a week in San Jose, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Network Engineering. As a member of our global infrastructure engineering operations team, you will take on a unique role involving a mix of network engineering, network/customer troubleshooting, infrastructure, and project management responsibilities.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

  • Participate in 24/7 follow-the-sun model supporting the deployment of new data center hardware, networks, transit, and BGP peering
  • Provide expert L2/L3 network and Internet path troubleshooting
  • Plan and oversee datacenter cabinet layouts, power density, and server cluster deployments to ensure efficient, scalable, and reliable operations
  • Manage IPv4/IPv6 subnetting and IP address allocation while ensuring the seamless integration of hardware and network resources
  • Develop and maintain capacity deployment strategies to optimize resource utilization and support long-term infrastructure growth

Who You Are (Success Profile)

  • You are customer-obsessed. You build deep empathy for the customer—both internal and external—and anchor your decisions in solving their real-world problems. You champion their needs from start to finish, knowing their success is our success.
  • You operate with urgency. You understand that in a high-growth environment, speed and quality are not mutually exclusive. You have a relentless focus on execution and a bias for action, delivering high-impact results quickly to win for the customer and the team.
  • You are resilient and adaptable. You view change as an opportunity and setbacks as temporary. You maintain composure and focus in high-pressure situations, guiding yourself and your team through complexity with a steady, positive hand.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 5+ years of experience in remote data center network operations, specializing in high-speed fiber networks (10G/100G/400G), device configuration, and physical layer troubleshooting
  • Deep knowledge in BGP routing and L2/L3 troubleshooting for large-scale IPv4/IPv6 Enterprise or Telecom networks, including complex Internet path problem debugging
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to utilize problem ticketing and inventory systems to maintain streamlined data center workflows
  • Demonstrated success thriving in fast-paced environments by effectively managing tight timelines, shifting priorities, and high-pressure deliverables
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience) complemented by advanced networking certifications such as CCNP or JNCIP

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Expert in IP packet analysis using Wireshark and hands-on troubleshooting of core protocols, including DNS, HTTPS, GRE, and IPsec
  • Experienced in Linux/Unix administration and network equipment management, with the ability to utilize Unix shell scripts for task automation
