Staff Portfolio Insights & Analytics LeadSan Mateo, CA

The Portfolio Insights & Analytics Lead will elevate the Platform Business organization's Portfolio Management capabilities by turning data into strategic insights. This role will develop predictive analytics and forward-looking insights that shape portfolio investment decisions across the Platform Business organization. Acting as a bridge between raw data and executive decision-making, this role will influence how the Platform Business allocates resources to maximize long-term value and transformation.

Responsibilities
  • Translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights that support portfolio prioritization, rebalancing, and long-term planning.
  • Build and maintain financial and operational models to forecast portfolio outcomes under various scenarios, helping leadership evaluate trade-offs.
  • Develop and maintain resource utilization and capacity models to inform portfolio planning, workforce allocation, and investment optimization decisions.
  • Prepare high-impact presentations and briefings for Platform Business executives that communicate portfolio health, risks, and opportunities in a clear narrative.
  • Partner with Finance, Corp Planning, PFB Office, and business units to align on investment principles, metrics, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Drive analysis for quarterly portfolio reviews, surfacing insights that inform pivot, pause, or double-down recommendations.
  • Incorporate external data — technology trends, competitor moves, macroeconomic factors — into portfolio outlooks to ensure future-proofing.
  • Champion the evolution of portfolio management methods (e.g., prioritization frameworks, KPI design, outcome measurement) to raise decision-making rigor across SIE.
  • Provide analytical guidance to peers and influence broader organizational adoption of data-informed decision-making.
  • Act as a thought partner to senior leaders, ensuring the portfolio strategy is supported by evidence and foresight.
  • Collaborate with the Staff Portfolio Data Analyst to align data definitions, ensure quality inputs, and validate analytical assumptions supporting decision models.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7–10 years of experience in portfolio analysis, strategic finance, or corporate strategy in a technology-driven environment.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, ROI frameworks, and outcome-based investment analysis.
  • Strong skills in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau/PowerBI).
  • Experience in workforce or resource capacity modeling to inform strategic planning and prioritization.
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence executives through clear storytelling and data-driven recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with data, finance, and program delivery teams to integrate analysis into operational decisions.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$188,600$283,000 USD
