About Wander

Travel is a $4 trillion industry running on software from the last century. We are fixing that. Wander.com is the leading marketplace for exceptional vacation homes with best-in-category guest satisfaction. WanderOS takes that same battle-tested engine and puts it in the hands of every property manager on Earth: conversion-optimized direct booking websites, automated guest marketing, and AI-powered distribution to millions of travelers. Operators own their brand, their bookings, and their guests. No middlemen.

Wander is led by a second-time founder and an all-star team from companies like Shopify. We are a Series B company gearing up for Series C, and product velocity has gone vertical: AI agents, payments, new distribution channels, and performance products, all shipping on a cadence most companies would call impossible. We call it Tuesday.

Our mission is to help people find their happy place. Our vision is to build the infrastructure for people to experience the world. If you want to make a dent in one of the largest industries on the planet, this is the place.

Wander is building a smarter, AI-powered way for hospitality operators to grow their businesses. We're looking for a Staff Product Designer to lead design on our Discovery team, helping operators reach more travelers and grow with confidence.

You'll partner closely with Product and Engineering to define direction, solve hard problems, and ship exceptional experiences. You'll be the team's only designer, working alongside a small, senior engineering team that ships daily. You'll represent Design in the room, advocate for our customers, and protect the quality and consistency of our product.

What you'll work on
  • Make sense of complex data. Turn noisy, uncertain information into something operators trust and act on.
  • Design how operators work alongside AI. Make complex workflows feel clear and intuitive.
  • Choose what's next. Discovery has more good ideas than capacity. You'll bring customer evidence and a clear point of view on what we build and what we don't.
Who you are
  • A design leader. You can independently set product direction, challenge assumptions, and hold your own in cross-functional decisions.
  • Exceptional ownership. You're proactive, autonomous, and deeply trustworthy. You identify blind spots, bring people together, and move things forward without waiting to be asked.
  • Strong product judgment and craft. You balance business needs, customer problems, and great design. You know when to push boundaries and when to defend the design system, and you evolve it without becoming a gatekeeper.
  • A gift for complex data. You make dashboards, metrics, and data visualization feel simple and trustworthy.
  • An AI-native mindset. You're comfortable using AI, Figma, code, and tools like Vercel to prototype, experiment, and ship fast. Bonus points if you build tools that make the whole team better.
  • Curiosity about AI search and travel. Experience with SEO, marketing tech, or growth products helps but isn't required.
  • A genuine obsession with design. You care about the smallest details and the biggest ideas. You'd rather cut a feature than ship a confusing one.

We're a small team that moves quickly, experiments constantly, and believes great designers should have real ownership. We're looking for someone who raises the bar for both our product and the people around them.

To apply, include a portfolio with shipped product work.

Details: Remote in the US.
