About Ditto:

Ditto is redefining how data moves at the edge. Our mission is to make it seamless for developers to build resilient, real-time applications, regardless of network conditions. Whether you're in a stadium, airplane, or remote military base, Ditto's peer-to-peer sync engine ensures devices stay connected and data stays consistent, even without internet. With more than $145 million in funding and trusted by organizations like Chick-fil-A, Delta Airlines, and the U.S. military, Ditto powers mission-critical experiences across aviation, retail, travel, hospitality, defense, and more. As a globally distributed, fast-growing startup, we’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the wide range of perspectives needed to solve the world’s hardest connectivity problems.

Help us build the future of offline-first software. We're looking for a Product Designer who thinks deeply about software, systems and customers to build the next generation of offline-first experiences. You'll work on a small, scrappy and highly collaborative team to design tools and apps that help people get work done when most software struggles to function at all. You'll help to lead the next generation of this mission as we enable more customers and citizen developers to build offline-first software at speed. To do that, you'll help to pioneer a first-of-kind AI-enabled app builder to create apps that work fully without the internet.

What You'll Be Up To…
  • Design a no-code, AI-enabled app builder for creating native apps and web apps

  • Create design systems to support flexible apps on web, iOS, iPadOS and Android

  • Support the design of customer applications and demo apps for the sales team

  • Contribute to design of the management portal for our existing developer product

  • Facilitate the design of a coherent information architecture and end-to-end journey

  • Lead design as a discipline, including the tools and framework we use to design

  • Design thoughtful, high-quality user interfaces across native and web applications

  • Design study plans and facilitate both generative and evaluative research sessions

  • Collaborate closely with product management to define product direction and vision

  • Consistently collaborate with engineering partners to ship high quality work quickly

What Helps You Thrive…
  • You iterate quickly and regularly evaluate the work to maintain quality and coherence

  • You gather just enough data to move the work forward without getting bogged down

  • You think in systems before interfaces to support consistent and coherent experiences

  • You're curious and customer-centric, grounding your work in real customer problems

  • You're a strong collaborator and actively push for collaboration with your teammates

  • You've been a design lead and/or solo designer on a cross-functional product team

  • You've conducted research to understand problems and evaluate design solutions

  • You've been a leader and/or core contributor on a 0-1 product, project or company

  • You've designed complex, high quality interfaces for web and mobile applications

  • You've created robust information architectures and end-to end customer journeys

Great to Haves…
  • Any experience designing app builders, design tools or products adjacent to them

  • Any experience with technical/developer products and working with technical users

  • An understanding of software engineering principles and how software is developed

  • Expertise designing cross-platforms apps across web, iOS, iPadOS, Android etc.

  • An understanding of and/or experience with offline-first technologies and products

The Benefits of Building with Us

We offer competitive salaries and meaningful equity. We believe everyone on the team should have a stake in what we’re building. Benefits vary by region to make sure you're covered in the ways that matter most. In the US, that includes health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, plus a 401(k) and flexible spending accounts. In the UK, we offer private healthcare through Vitality, a pension plan, and region-specific coverage. For our team members elsewhere in the world, we work with our global employer platform to offer equitable benefits and coverage.

Regardless of where you live, everyone at Ditto can utilize flexible time off. And while we work remotely, our Atlanta and San Francisco offices are open if you ever want a place to work or meet up with teammates.

Apply Anyway

At Ditto, we know game-changers don’t always come wrapped in a “perfect” resume. Years of experience? Every single bullet point checked? Meh. That’s not what drives us.

What does matter?

  • Grit.

  • Curiosity.

  • Adaptability.

  • And a genuine spark for what we’re building.

So if you’re fired up about our mission but not sure you tick every box - hit that apply button anyway. Use your application to show us how you’ll make an impact here.

We’re always on the lookout for exceptional humans who want to grow, stretch, and build something meaningful with us.

Equal Opportunity Employer

Ditto is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristics. San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
