JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE ROLE

FOX is seeking a Staff Product Manager, Emerging Technology to define, prototype, and scale next-generation AI-powered products and platforms across FOX’s media, technology, and business ecosystem. This role will focus on emerging technologies, generative AI systems, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, computer vision, forecasting and predictive modeling, data-driven insights platforms, and intelligent automation.

You will operate at the intersection of product strategy, applied AI, platform development, and media technology—shaping how intelligent systems transform internal workflows, unlock new business capabilities, and enable downstream consumer, partner, and operational experiences.

This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for a product leader who is energized by ambiguity, rapid prototyping, and building products that extend beyond traditional UI-driven features. You will partner closely with engineering, data science, machine learning, design, business, editorial, revenue, and operations teams to identify high-value opportunities, define scalable product requirements, and guide the development of production-grade AI and data-driven products.

While this role does not require hands-on model development, it requires strong technical fluency, excellent product judgment, and the ability to translate rapidly evolving technologies into clear product vision, practical execution plans, and measurable business outcomes. Success in this role is defined by delivering intelligent, trustworthy, and scalable systems that improve operational efficiency, decision-making, content workflows, monetization, and platform capabilities across FOX.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for emerging technology initiatives, including AI-native products, platform capabilities, intelligent workflows, and data-driven systems

  • Lead discovery, prototyping, and pilot efforts to validate emerging technologies and move high-potential concepts toward scalable production solutions

  • Translate advances in generative AI, LLMs, RAG, computer vision, multimodal learning, and agentic systems into practical product capabilities for media, business, and technology use cases

  • Partner closely with engineering, machine learning, data science, design, and business teams to define system requirements, APIs, services, workflows, and success metrics

  • Guide the development of intelligent systems that reason over structured and unstructured data, automate complex workflows, and generate actionable insights

  • Identify opportunities to modernize internal platforms, operational tools, content workflows, and business processes through platformization and intelligent automation

  • Develop product requirements, briefs, decision frameworks, and technical narratives that align cross-functional teams around complex and evolving initiatives

  • Drive experimentation and measurement plans to evaluate the impact of AI-powered products on efficiency, quality, revenue, productivity, user experience, and business outcomes

  • Ensure AI and data-driven systems meet standards for reliability, safety, observability, performance, trust, and responsible use in real-world environments

  • Partner with stakeholders across FOX to prioritize opportunities, communicate tradeoffs, manage ambiguity, and drive alignment from concept through delivery

  • Act as a hands-on product leader by shaping architectures, prototypes, workflows, data requirements, and product experiences in close collaboration with technical teams

  • Foster a culture of responsible innovation, technical rigor, curiosity, and continuous learning across product and partner teams

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Significant product management experience leading complex digital, platform, data-driven, or AI-enabled products from discovery through delivery

  • Demonstrated ability to define product strategy and roadmaps for ambiguous, emerging, or technically complex product areas

  • Strong technical fluency with modern AI and machine learning concepts, including large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, evaluation strategies, and applied ML services

  • Experience building or guiding products that incorporate machine learning, AI, automation, data platforms, or intelligent decisioning systems in production environments

  • Ability to work closely with engineering, machine learning, and data teams to translate technical constraints into product tradeoffs, requirements, and execution plans

  • Comfort contributing directly to product definition through prototypes, technical specs, workflow diagrams, service requirements, APIs, or close pairing with engineering teams

  • Strong analytical mindset, with experience defining success metrics, evaluating product impact, and using data to guide prioritization and iteration

  • Proven ability to operate across ambiguity, balancing long-term strategic direction with execution-level detail

  • Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders around complex ideas

  • Strong product judgment and systems thinking, with the ability to identify scalable platform opportunities across teams, workflows, and business needs

  • Passion for emerging technology, applied AI, media innovation, and the future of intelligent products

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience working in media, streaming, sports, entertainment, advertising technology, or large-scale digital platforms

  • Familiarity with ad tech, monetization systems, campaign workflows, audience insights, pricing, forecasting, or yield optimization

  • Familiarity with sports media workflows, highlights systems, live data, content tagging, video understanding, or editorial operations

  • Experience guiding build vs. buy decisions for AI infrastructure, data platforms, or emerging technology solutions

  • Exposure to privacy-preserving data collaboration, clean rooms, identity systems, or measurement frameworks

  • A habit of drawing inspiration from adjacent industries, including enterprise SaaS, fintech, prediction markets, creator tools, and AI-native productivity platforms, to inform product strategy and design

  • Open to remote candidates
