About the Role

As the product leader for Organic Growth (SEO & GEO), you are the architect of Zenni’s organic acquisition engine. This isn’t a traditional SEO role focused strictly on keywords and audits; it is a high-impact position where you will own the commercial performance and incremental revenue of our organic channels. Your mission is to transform organic search from a reactive traffic source into a proactive, scalable driver of incremental revenue.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Commerce & Growth, you will sit at the intersection of Product, Content, Marketing, and Engineering. You will be the primary steward of our organic P&L, tasked with both defending our established market share and expanding our reach through the creation of new, high-converting digital surfaces. You won’t just identify market demand; you’ll also partner with technical teams to build the programmatic experiences that capture customers at the very start of their vision-correction journey.

We are seeking a strategic full-stack growth leader who views SEO and GEO as compounding assets. You are as comfortable defining a technical product roadmap as you are analyzing keyword opportunities or analyzing attribution models to prove the bottom-line impact of your initiatives. At Zenni, you won’t just manage rankings; you will build the future of how millions of people discover and purchase affordable prescription eyewear.

Responsibilities:

Ownership over the Organic Channel: Responsible for the end-to-end Organic Search channel, including responsibilities for driving incremental revenue, managing the organic P&L, and translating search traffic into bottom-line business impact.
Product Roadmap & Strategy: Own the end-to-end roadmap for organic surfaces, including definition and prioritization of scalable or programmatic product features that capture unaddressed market demand.
Growth Engineering: Partner with Design and Engineering to launch new indexable surfaces, while safeguarding the technical health, site architecture, and ranking authority of Zenni’s core web properties.
Conversion & Experimentation: Own the organic click-to-cart journey. With incremental organic revenue as your north star, it will be crucial to optimize organic surfaces to maximize the value of every session.
GEO & Innovation: Future-proof Zenni’s discovery engine by optimizing for GEO, ensuring our brand is the default choice for generative recommendations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • You have ~8 years of combined experience across SEO, related Growth Marketing and/or consumer-facing Product Management
  • You have a strong commercial acumen and financial literacy, with the ability to move beyond the “traffic” to discuss LTV, CAC, incrementality, and other concepts
  • You’re technically literate, including a deep understanding of site architecture, structured data, and more. You don’t need to code, but you must be able to speak the language of engineers
  • You have experience with content strategy, including a background building scalable content engines. You know how to balance “writing for humans” with structural requirements of search engines and LLMs
  • You possess analytical rigor, including expert-level proficiency with SEO tools, web analytics, and A/B testing frameworks
  • You are AI-enabled, including both a deep understanding of how Generative AI is changing search as well as proficiency to leverage AI to multiply your productivity
  • You are an excellent communicator, with the ability to translate complex commercial or technical concepts into “so what?” insights for executive stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Programmatic SEO
  • Experience in the ecommerce vertical
  • Experience in the optical, healthtech, or other highly-regulated industries
U.S. Perks & Benefits:
  • Annual bonus program
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision (dependent coverage capped at $300/month)
  • Life, AD&D, and disability coverage (with optional add-ons)
  • 401(k) with up to 4% match
  • Comprehensive wellbeing programs (mental, physical, emotional support)
  • Lifestyle Spending Account (wellbeing + learning)
  • Work-from-home stipend (for eligible roles)
  • Generous PTO in addition to our Week of Zen - the time between Christmas and New Year’s to relax and recuperate
  • Fully Paid Parental Leave - 16 weeks for birthing and non-birthing parents
  • Family forming & fertility support and services through Maven
  • Annual Zenni Gift Card - to use towards our products!
Compensation

In addition to other forms of compensation, such as perks and benefits, the estimated salary range for this role is $152,400 - $190,500 USD for candidates outside of California. For California-based candidates, the estimated salary range is $167,640 - $209,550/year USD. The final offer will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skill set, experience, geographical location, market conditions, and other organizational needs. The Company reserves the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for various reasons including business needs.

(U.S. ONLY) Please note: While we prefer Bay Area-based candidates, we are registered in some, but not all, states. • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
