Hi, Future Homie!

At Homebase, you’ll join a team that’s bold, fast-moving, and obsessed with helping small businesses thrive. We build with empathy, act with urgency, and take big swings that drive real-world impact. Here, every Homie shows up to raise the bar, support one another, and celebrate wins as a team.

We’re not just building an app—we’re building unstoppable teams. So what do you say, are you in?

 📍Your Impact Starts Here

We’re looking for a Staff Product Manager, Platform to partner closely with engineering leadership and help shape the core platform that underpins Homebase as we scale. This role is critical to our ability to grow securely, reliably, and quickly.

You’ll own foundational domains including authentication, authorization, identity, and core business platform capabilities, ensuring they are resilient, extensible, high quality. This is a highly technical PM role—ideal for someone who loves working at the intersection of product, engineering, and security, and who thrives in ambiguity while building for the long term.

These are the key ways you’ll contribute and create impact in this role:

  • Co-own the platform roadmap in close partnership with engineering leadership for authentication, authorization, identity, and shared business capabilities, balancing immediate needs with long-term scale, security, and developer velocity

  • Partner with Engineering and leadership to help define platform strategy, direction, and roadmap

  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure business-critical systems scale reliably and meet company needs

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear product direction, requirements, success metrics, and customer-facing experience implications

  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Design to ensure platform decisions consider both system integrity and end-user experience

  • Define and track outcomes related to reliability, security posture, developer velocity, and scalability

  • Partner with Engineering to define and operationalize platform KPIs, using metrics to drive prioritization and uncover gaps in capabilities and services

  • Proactively identify risks, gaps, and opportunities in our platform architecture as the company grows, including build vs. buy decisions and vendor evaluations for platform capabilities

  • Own the end-to-end experience for customer-facing platform surfaces (e.g., auth flows, permissions, identity-related UX)

  • Ensure platform experiences are intuitive, trustworthy, and aligned with Homebase’s product quality bar

  • Partner with Product Design and Research to validate platform-driven user experiences

  • Advocate for customers while balancing technical constraints and long-term platform health

  • Use AI tools to accelerate product discovery, requirements clarity, and decision-making—and continuously improve how platform PM work gets done

🚀 The Foundation for Success - These are the experiences and strengths that will set you up for success in this role:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with significant time spent on platform, infrastructure, or highly technical product areas

  • Strong technical background (e.g., prior engineering experience or deep technical fluency working with engineers)

  • Hands-on experience with authentication, authorization, identity systems, or security-adjacent domains, including evaluating third-party solutions and making build vs. buy recommendations

  • Proven ability to influence without authority and partner effectively with senior engineering leaders

  • Comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces and defining structure where none exists

  • Demonstrated ability to build for scale, reliability, security, and customer experience, not just internal-facing capabilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for technical audiences

  • AI Fluency: Experience using AI tools to improve product workflows, analyze tradeoffs, or increase execution velocity

  • Ability to collaborate in the office weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at a Homebase hub

🤝  The Homie Way - These principles guide everything we do—from how we work and make decisions to how we show up for each other.

  • 💡 Be Customer Obsessed – Solve problems with empathy and creativity.

  • Move Fast, Learn Fast – Experiment, take action, and grow every day.

  • 🎯 Own Your Impact – Think big, focus on what matters, and make decisions you stand behind.

  • 🏆 Master Your Craft – Excellence fuels impact—show up, step up, and make your mark.

  • 🏅 Win Together – Put goals over roles, lead with trust, and connect to our mission and each other.
