About AACI Group

AACI Group, Inc. is dedicated to making insurance more accessible and affordable in catastrophe-prone regions. Climate change is increasing the frequency and severity of wildfires and other natural disasters, while carriers are retreating from high-risk markets. Homeowners are being left with fewer and more expensive options. We are addressing this challenge by building AI-native insurance agencies and digital services that combine risk data, loss prevention, and innovative product delivery.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to drive the end to end experience for AACI Group’s AI-native insurance agencies and loss prevention services. This role requires balancing stakeholder needs, business goals, and technical feasibility in a fast-moving environment. To accelerate your impact and iteration cycles, you should be able to rapidly build your own MVP prototypes and proof-of-concepts. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be central to how we translate our ambitious mission into usable, impactful technology.

You are the ideal candidate if you…

  • Can own an entire product area autonomously

  • Are a builder at heart

  • Possess a high level of grit who responds to obstacles with action instead of waiting to be unblocked

  • Feel comfortable not only adopting the latest of AI technology into your everyday work, but incorporating it into the product itself

  • Are nimble enough to adapt to shifting priorities and approaches with ease

  • Embody the “Four I’s” of a strong owner: Intensity, Intuition, Initiative and Imagination (for more, see our CEO’s recent blog post)

We are building the ship as we are flying it, and need someone who can help us keep moving forward in the moment, while also constantly working toward the vision of how we should be operating in the near and long term.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside your engineering and design counterparts to own the full product lifecycle of concurrent projects across all of AACI’s insurance and digital services platforms: from our customer-facing experiences,to our internal operations tooling, to our suite of automation and integrations.

  • Use AI-assisted tools (Claude, Replit, Lovable etc.) to rapidly prototype and validate concepts without needing engineering resources.

  • Maintain sufficient documentation such that all vested stakeholders are aware and aligned of what you are building, why, and when.

  • Define clear success metrics to ensure accountability across teams.

  • Blend of mix of quantitative data analysis and qualitative user feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to inform product decisions

  • Collaborate across the entire business to align product development with strategic objectives.

  • Ensure the product complies with all local and national regulations and data security best practices

What Success Looks Like in 6 Months
  • You’ve shipped the right products, at the right time, in order for us to deliver a first of its kind experience

  • You’re able to measure the health and success of your products through quantifiable data

  • You’ve built strong relationships across the board with both leadership and your cross functional stakeholders

  • You have a clear vision for what you need to accomplish in your areas over the next 6-12 months.

Qualifications
  • At least 7+ years of product management experience in software or digital services, with at least 2 years operating in a startup environment.

  • Strong preference for those who have built both operational product and consumer facing product, and who have experience launching products that incorporate AI and ML technologies

  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and complex roadmaps, with a tangible track record - i.e. quantifiable results that directly impact the top or bottom line

  • An ability to both “build the right product” (critical & strategic thinking) and “build the product right” (technical & detailed, delivering meaningful & measurable results)

  • Ability to cultivate the right level of influence through written and verbal communication skills across all key stakeholders

  • Comfort with seeking out and leveraging the data you need to make informed decisions

  • Experience prototyping and building lightweight MVPs using various AI-tooling.

Location, Compensation, and Reporting
  • Based in either our San Francisco Bay Area (Walnut Creek, CA) or Boston, MA, offices

  • Expected to work in office 2-4 days per week

  • Reports to the CEO

  • Competitive salary

  • Meaningful equity package

  • Benefits include health and dental insurance and 401(k) matching
