We are looking for a Staff Salesforce Engineer to join Team Order (CPQ). In this role, you’ll work closely with partners from our Sales, Billing, and other downstream teams on building a more robust and scalable Quote-to-Cash system. You’ll also have the chance to work on transformational change in how we do business at Intercom.
What will I be doing?- Design scalable and durable solutions in Salesforce to enable a smooth Quote-to-Order system.
- Work cross-functionally with other staff/principal engineers and managers to devise solutions to complex multi-system challenges.
- Advise on and help execute transformational systems projects.
- Actively participate in maintaining a culture of quality and consistency.
- Create observability in Quote-to-Cash systems.
- Ensure Quote-to-Cash system health.
- Rapid speed development via AI tools
- Integration design
- Proven track record of architecting and implementing complex Salesforce CPQ solutions that meet business and scalability needs
- Solid understanding of VisualForce/Apex, Javascript, and Trigger framework patterns
- Experience with Git
- Comfortable finding, investigating, and solving large, vague problems
- Comfortable communicating up and down organizational structures to the right level of detail depending on audience
- Capability to plan and sequence complex projects with significant ambiguity or risks
- Experience leading transformational projects with multiple stakeholders
- Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, and/or Salesforce Certified System Architect (or equivalent experience) are highly desirable
- Experience with Snowflake/ SQL / DBT
- Development experience outside Salesforce (Ruby)
- Experience with Gearset or CI / CD

The base salary range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is $238,500 - 285,000. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

The SF office is located in the bustling SoMa district. It's just off Market Street, a 2 minute walk from Montgomery BART and Muni. The area is dotted with amazing dining spots, although our Workplace Experience team also looks after us with tons of delicious food, drink and snacks.
