About Hamilton AI
Hamilton AI is creating the operating system for business aviation. Unlike commercial aviation, business aviation lives in the dark ages, think emails, phone and spreadsheets that run most of the operations of operators from 2 aircraft to 1,000 aircraft.
Hamilton is here to change that. We offer a fully vertically integrated platform that runs business operations at our customers. Our AI agents are the first point of contact for quote requests and we run these quote requests from A to Z. Think quoting, flight scheduling and optimization, route planning, aircraft tracking, payment processing, and back-office invoicing and payroll.
TeamHamilton AI is founded by Wouter Witvoet, who previously founded Secfi.com ($1.5bn AUM) and went on to take his second business public called DeFi Technologies, listed on the NASDAQ under DEFT with a market cap of $1.2bn. Other members are ex-Dropbox, Square, Airlabs, PagerDuty, Playbook, Walt Disney, Getaround, and NASA JPL.
Where we’re atFrom January to March 2025, we took part in HF0 Residency—one of the world’s most exclusive programs for repeat founders, backed by Google, Andreessen Horowitz, and visionary investors like Naval Ravikant. In just 90 days, we made a year’s worth of progress—both in product development and real-world results.
Concretely:
We went from $150K to $1.5MM in ARR with both small and large enterprises.Raised $7.2M across two rounds most recently February 2025
Funded by leading VCs, including Bling Capital, TTV Capital, Cambrian VC, FJ Labs, Correlation VC, HF0, Mintaka Ventures, Weekend Fund
Where will we be in three months? That’s up to us. At Hamilton, you won’t just watch the future unfold—you’ll shape it.
Charter aviation runs on outdated, brittle systems. Hamilton is replacing all of it — sales pipelines, quoting engines, trip planning, dispatch operations, and customer communication — with a unified platform operators depend on to run their business. Frontend is the gateway to every piece of that ecosystem.
As our first dedicated frontend engineer, you won’t just write React code — you’ll define how mission-critical aviation workflows look, feel, and behave. The complexity is real: multiple stakeholder types, rapidly changing operational states, real-time data, and workflows that break the moment UX introduces friction.
Hamilton builds fast using an AI-driven development process that cuts out waste and amplifies engineering output. You’ll work in a loop of prototyping, generating, refining, and shipping at a pace traditional teams can’t match. Your decisions will shape the entire user experience of a product becoming core infrastructure for the aviation industry.
What You’ll DoDrive the frontend architecture — component structure, state management, data flows, and UI patterns.
Build and maintain a reusable, scalable design system that accelerates development and enforces consistency.
Ship production-grade React interfaces that handle real-time data, operational edge cases, and high-stakes decision flows.
Translate complex operational workflows into intuitive, low-friction interfaces that reduce cognitive load.
Prototype quickly using Hamilton’s AI-driven development loop; get UX/UI in customers' hands fast for rapid refinement.
Collaborate with design, product, backend, and full-stack teams to deliver end-to-end features without bottlenecks.
Set engineering standards for performance, accessibility, reliability, and code quality.
Implement robust testing and observability strategies (unit, integration, visual regression, client telemetry).
Mentor engineers and guide the evolution of the frontend discipline as the team scales.
6–10+ years building complex, high-performance web applications with React and TypeScript.
Deep fluency in modern React patterns: hooks, composition, async data loading, caching, and performance tuning.
Experience owning or building a design system or major shared component library.
Strong product intuition — able to simplify complex workflows, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and avoid overengineering.
High ownership mindset with a bias toward shipping and continuous iteration.
Strong cross-functional communication skills; able to work directly with designers, operators, and product stakeholders.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and turn loosely scoped requirements into production-ready interfaces.
Pilot’s license or passion for aviation; experience with real-time systems, offline-first patterns, aviation/logistics operations, or AI-assisted UIs.
Why Hamilton AI?You’ll shape the foundation of Hamilton’s entire user experience as the first dedicated frontend engineer.
You’ll work on deeply complex operational problems where great UX directly impacts efficiency, safety, and margin.
Our AI-accelerated engineering workflow dramatically increases iteration speed and output.
The product you build becomes core infrastructure in an industry overdue for modernization.
You’ll join a small, high-velocity team where your impact is immediate and highly visible.
