You will:

  • Collaborative - work across team boundaries
  • Cross-functional - work with PM, UX, legal, operations, or other non-engineering roles
  • Independence / leadership - take ownership and drive efforts to completion
  • Technical road map definition experience 
  • Performance management experience

You have:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years experience working with backend tech (e.g. C++, Spanner, or others)
  • 6+ years of experience with Front End (Angular, Javascript, React, etc) 
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • TL or leadership skills
  • Experience in product development lifecycle

We prefer:

  • Familiarity with Google infrastructure (e.g. Flume, Borg, Protocol Buffers, OnePlatform) or GCP equivalent
  • Development experience with C++ or other backend programming languages
  • Development experience with frontend frameworks (e.g. Angular, React) 
  • Scalability and system performance experience

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the role location or, if the role can be performed remote, the specific salary range for your preferred location, during the hiring process. 

Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
