RETHINK MANUFACTURING

The only way to ignite change is to build the best team. At Bright Machines®, we’re innovators and experts in our craft who have joined together to create a new category of manufacturing that will help transform the industry. We believe software and data are the answer, thoughtfully applied to solve our customers’ unique challenges. Through intelligent automation, we give factories newfound flexibility, scalability, and resilience. We deliver products to meet the demands of today while building a platform to take advantage of what comes next.

Working with us means you’ll have the opportunity to make lasting, impactful changes for our company and our customers. If you’re ready to apply your exceptional skills to create the factory of the future, we’d love to speak with you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Bright Machines is building a next-gen, software-defined manufacturing platform powered by robotics, perception, and AI-enabled quality systems. As a Senior/Staff Product Manager, you will own the vision and long-term strategy for our robotics software and controls platform — the intelligent core that enables scalable deployment, AI-driven quality, and faster time from silicon to revenue.
You will define what we build, why it matters, and how it differentiates Bright Machines in the market. You will influence executive direction, shape platform architecture decisions, and guide multi-year roadmap investments across robotics, controls, perception, and ML-enabled systems.
You will operate as the product leader for a foundational platform capability — partnering closely with R&D, Operations, and Customer teams to align business outcomes with technical execution.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Own and articulate the long-term product vision for Bright Machines’ robotics software and controls platform.
  • Define and drive a multi-year roadmap that balances platform scalability, customer differentiation, deployment velocity, and architectural integrity.
  • Translate executive strategy and customer needs into system-level product requirements that guide engineering investment.
  • Lead cross-functional prioritization across robotics software, real-time controls, perception systems, ML pipelines, and hardware interfaces.
  • Influence architectural decisions by grounding trade-offs in market impact, scalability, and business value.
  • Establish measurable product success metrics tied to real-world production outcomes (yield, reliability, ramp time, cost of deployment, performance).
  • Represent the platform strategy in executive forums and customer engagements, articulating technical differentiation and roadmap direction.
  • Partner tightly with the Program Management team to ensure product intent translates into disciplined program execution.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience in robotics, next-gen automation, AI/ML systems, or complex software-driven hardware platforms.
  • Demonstrated ownership of platform-level products with multi-team impact.
  • Strong technical fluency in robotics software, controls systems, perception, ML-enabled production systems, and hardware/software integration.
  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders and shaping investment decisions.
  • Track record of defining and delivering differentiated platform capabilities in competitive markets.
  • Experience operating in high-growth, high-ambiguity environments with strong engineering cultures.
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to move fluidly between engineers, executives, and customers.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD

  • Experience in Industrial Robotics
  • Experience working with current automation platforms such as Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and associated development environments.
  • Understanding of factory KPIs and practical experience driving their improvement
  • Understanding of manufacturing logistics
  • Understanding of MES and ERP systems supporting the existing manufacturing market

BE EMPOWERED TO CHANGE AN INDUSTRY
