As a Staff User Experience Designer, your primary responsibility will be to drive high-quality, user-centered design solutions across multiple teams and product areas. Specifically, your focus will be to:
- Lead complex design projects that span multiple teams, domains, or platforms
- Mentor and guide other designers in UX craft and execution
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to shape priorities, ideas, and implementation
- Advocate for design excellence, ensuring consistency, usability, and scalability across the user experience
The skills and qualities you'll bring include:
Core Skills
- Effective collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and proactively define direction
- Strong time management and accountability in meeting deadlines
- Passion for learning, growth, and fostering an inclusive design culture
Functional / Role-Specific Skills
- 8-10 years of experience in UX, product, or visual design with a strong track record of leading initiatives
- Mastery of UX principles, interaction design, design systems, and design thinking
- Ability to translate complex problems into elegant, user-friendly experiences
- Proficiency in crafting wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, and final UI assets
- Experience delivering polished, production-ready designs in collaboration with engineering
- Strong storytelling skills to communicate design rationale
- Ability to influence product strategy beyond immediate responsibilities
- Willingness to travel occasionally for collaboration with global teams
- Cybersecurity knowledge is a plus, but ability to design for complex technical domains is essential
