MetroSys is seeking an experienced Storage Consultant with hands-on Cirrus Data expertise to support customer storage modernization and data mobility initiatives. This role will focus on planning, deploying, and optimizing Cirrus Data solutions along with broader enterprise storage environments. The ideal candidate brings deep technical proficiency, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work effectively in dynamic customer-facing environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute data migration activities using Cirrus Data technology, including discovery, planning, cutover, and validation.
Assess existing storage architectures and recommend migration strategies, improvements, and operational best practices.
Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cirrus Data appliances and data mobility tools.
Work across enterprise storage platforms (SAN, NAS, block, file) to support seamless end-to-end migration workflows.
Collaborate with customer stakeholders to ensure data integrity, performance alignment, and minimal downtime during transition.
Provide storage operational support such as LUN configuration, zoning validation, replication checks, and performance analysis.
Document processes, runbooks, topologies, and migration steps for customer handoff.
Assist in escalated issues involving multi-vendor storage solutions (Dell, NetApp, HPE, Brocade, Cisco MDS, etc.).
3–5+ years of enterprise storage engineering or consulting experience.
Direct hands-on experience with Cirrus Data migration solutions (CDM, DMS, or related products).
Solid understanding of SAN technologies, multipathing, fabric zoning, and host/storage interoperability.
Experience with storage arrays such as Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Pure Storage, or IBM.
Strong troubleshooting skills across storage, connectivity, and performance layers.
Ability to produce clear documentation and communicate technical concepts with customers.
Experience with Brocade or Cisco MDS SAN fabric tools.
Familiarity with VMware storage design and VM-level migrations.
Knowledge of data protection platforms (Commvault, Veeam, Avamar, etc.).
Prior consulting or professional services background.
Excellent customer-facing communication and professionalism.
Ability to work independently or as part of a project team.
Strong organizational habits and attention to detail.
Comfortable managing deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
